If he isn't one already..... This brutal KO of a young, skilled, hungry contender will be the final straw to ATG Status for big vit.
Beating up another Glass Jawed British Joke will make him an ATG?atsch It is not a knock on the K-Bros skill but rather a knock on the state of the division when I say that neither of them has beaten anyone to put them into ATG status. The truth is, Vitali lost to his best opponent and we never got to see a rematch to see how that would play out under different circumstances. Vitali is Top 25, at best, due to a complete and utter lack of competition.
Because he'd beat Chisora? Because he'd be able to duplicate what Tyson Fury did a year ago? Chisora will be Vitali's 11th or so best career win. A win over Chisora does little to Vitali's resume other than further tell us what we all know: the Klitschko's are leagues ahead of every heavyweight there has been since Lennox, and there has seldom been a worthy contender in that span. "ATG" to me implies the 50 best fighters of all time in every division. Under that criteria, Vitali falls well, well short.
With Vitali/Chisora, Williams/Ishida, Arreola/Molina, and Arce/Parra all tomorrow, odds of a death in the ring ARE probably higher than any other day in the sports' recent history. I mean, seriously. It's one in a million chance normally, but tomorrow it's one in three quarters of a million chance.
Eh....we love the Klitschko brothers in america....I'm rooting for both of them. THe K brothers are great ambassadors for the sport of boxing. They are humble and respectful. Americans admire those traits. Go Vitali. :good
