This is so fuggin' stupid. Shannon is a monster of a human being. He hits u to the body, believe me, u ain't getting up. Vitali beat a guy David Haye was afraid to face. Cannon before the Vitali beating would beat any of the top contenders today

Really...WTF is ther to even overrate or underrate? Is taking a win for what it is some last ****in art?

Briggs had no major wins in years. Rarely fought. Got a title shot based on his name. And yes, Vitali pounded the **** outa him, as many predicted.

So...WTF is this win supposed to mean as opposed as his win over Peter, Arreolo, or Johnson?

Truth? That he's better then a bunch of sorry ass HW's! Overrate that, underrate that...who gives a ****!

in order for it to be over rated it would have to be rated highly in the first place. I dont think people were saying Briggs was an amazing fighter in the first place. There just isnt anyone else left for Vitali to fight. He tried to get the valuev and haye fights and they pussed out.

It seems like everytime he wins people say he's over rated but he keeps on winning.

I was one of those who thought briggs could well make it interesting. Didn't see the fight, but it sounds like briggs had no moments at all...
What i'm wondering is how bad the torn bicep affected him. Was Briggs not throwing at all with that arm?

If the bicep injury excuse is weak, i'd say vitaly totally dominating even a 38 year old briggs is fairly impressive especially if briggs never had him in any trouble. I know iggy shut him out, but iggys was chucking and ducking and don't remeber shannon being hurt at all

BoxingFan2010 is just pissed because SNV ruined his wedding day. He's been holding it against Niko ever since, a bitter, bitter man.

In that case, he must be praying that Vitali comes and saves him from SNV's menacing wrath, cuz he's found in every K sister thread, arguing over who hugs Klit the best. I think he's such a 'tough guy' on ESB to make up for his hero's boring ass fights. I mean, the agression needs to come from SOMEWHERE.

Briggs is obviously injured but I doubt it happened in the 1st round. He is just giving an excuse for his performance so he can get another payday. Kevin Johnson cited his injured elbow as the reason for his awful performance. Briggs was throwing with the left hand and I think his best punch was actually a left hand in the 11th round.

yeah judging from the last round i saw, he was definitely injured in several areas, was just wondering if it looked like he had only use of 1 arm for most of the fight. Since he was saying he tore the left bicep and he was still throwing the left with some force, guess it either happened late or wasn't that bad.

Yes it was overratted...........shannon should of never been ranked in the top 10 by the wbc(just for beating 4 bumbs)......at age 38 shannon had no legs left and i remember asking jesse reid jr(the son of jessie reid the trainer)......what do u think shannon has left.........jessie reid jr told me shannon is shot to shitt and saturday u saw ali/holmes all over again(only briggs was never as good as ali of course)..........yes shannon is shot...but at age 39 vitali is not shott to **** and what helped him was that 3 yr lay off and hes always in great shape even in between fights.....shannon briggs was 334 lbs and dropped to 262 lbs in the last yr...
