Forgive me for piling-on here, but-yes-Vitali would have easily beaten Brewster.

Good point. Why would Vitali have any fear of Brewster after having such a war with Lennox Lewis, a far more dangerous puncher and fighter. Vitali would have laughed at any attempt at intimidation by Brewster. Just like he sneered and laughed at the grouchy Samuel Peter. Other fighters feared Peter but Vitali toyed with him.

To the topic of this thread I have to reply: Bulls....

Brewster had inferior boxing skills to Vitali and was much smaller and he probably has a shorter reach too. Vitali also does not have a weak chin and would not collapse like Golota or Karsniqi, who btw was outboxing Brewster before being KOed.

Brewster was just a crude slugger who, in 2004, only defeated Wladimir after Wlad totally gassed out. He was being dominated and was almost KOed before Wlad collapsed. He then went on to be beaten by Kali Meehan of all people and was saved by a gift decision.

So you think Vitali would have been an easier opponent for Brewster than Meehan ???

    :patsch

It would have happened in exactly in the same way except for Vitali having better stamina than Wlad, a better chin, and fighting nothing like him.

You're joking right? Kali Meehan beat Brewster's ass in Lamon's very first defense and if Don KIng wasn't Brewster's promoter, Kali probably would've gotten the decision.

It's possible, but Vitali would only lose by cuts or injury. :deal

dude i'm no klit nuthugger, but i wouldn't put too much stock in the brewster/wlad fight. the fight was bizzare and something had to be wrong with wlad that night (whether it was just amazingly poor stamina, sickness, super dodgy chin etc). lamon did barely anything until wlad was all "dazed and confused" through his own work rate. lamon, who did show great chin and determination, was simply a heavy bag for a few rounds only landing a half decent punch here and there.

brewster was at the time just one of the top contenders behind the klits and probably wasn't even the best contender (in that weak era) as evident in fights with sergei and kali meehan

Vitali would have handled Lamon easily, he would outbox Lamon and at the same time probably be able to take Lamon's best shot. Not a good matchup for Brewster. (Coming from a Brewster fan)

Vitali would have murdered him in true sadistic fashion. And as far as the Wlad Brewster fights, it's a statistical fact that Wlad actually threw more punches in the second fight than in the first. Something was wrong with Wlad during the first fight. I don't know what, but maybe he had the flu or something. I don't believe the first defeat was the product of foul play, just bad luck for Wlad because Brewster had nothing to do with beating him.

I don't know why anyone would hate Lamon so much as to put him in with Vitali.

He would not even have a punchers chance .... and because of his chin and heart he would suffer a gruesome beating (unless Buddy stops it)

Lunging in with wide shots and blocking punches with your face is not the way to beat Vitali.
