to be fair, maybe vs. tyson, foreman in their primes and vitali went toe to toe, a bloody stoppage or ko loss to tyson or foreman, but it wasn't ali's style mostly. ali used speed to kill. of course, like with liston, he could fool vitali into thinking it was going to be a chess match where ali would have a huge disadvantage in reach, but not in speed and time perfectly good right hands and wobble the giant and land 30-40 clean punches on vitali for a tko. for every vitali punch ali would land 3-4

Tyson couldn't get Bonecrusher, Tillis, Tucker and Buster outta there. Why exactly would he knock out the iron chinned Vitali in one round?

LL was at the tail end of his career, clearly not in good shape and still Klitschko ended the fight looking like he`d been the victim of a road traffic accident!

People really underestimate Klitschko as many over estimate him. Tyson never KO'd any big guys inside 3. Like the guy listed all of the big guys went the distance or like 10. Vitali has a rock solid chin and only at times has been hurt. I'm not saying Tyson cant beat him im saying 3 rounds is nuts. Who has Ali ever KO'd in 3 rounds that was good. He did not posses the one punch power to KO Vitali early. Foreman would be interesting however Vitali can not be compared to Norton or Frazier. Norton has been knocked out several times. Vitali is much bigger than Frazier and would not allow Foreman to bully him like he did Frazier. Frazier was just too short and small and could not get near Foreman. Holmes never KO'd anybody great inside of 3. I dont wanna over or underrate Vitali. I like to wait til somebody is retired a few years before passing such judgment. But to say he does not last 3 rounds is just insanity. Tyson and Foreman maybe. Ali Holmes no.

1 - I could've posted other cut stoppages but these were the first that came to mind , ( for instance his 2nd fight against nogueira was stopped but he was winning)

2 - I never said the contrary. Just noting that before the cut stoppage , he was winning the fight. (and it's no wonder lennox avoided the rematch)

3 - Well , i do. and plenty of boxing fans do (or else they wouldn't talk about it). If Lennox' cut stoppage would've been a no hoper , one sided beating. (a fight in which he'd be embarrassing him on the cards)...no one would've paid that much attention really...But it wasn't the case. Vitali clearly outpointed him on the score cards.

It's a shame that he refused the rematch.

So yes , the vids of fedor are part of a different sport but they demonstrate that you also have to consider what happened prior to the cut. In the lennox vs vitali case... Vitali was winning , not the other way around.

Lennox could've accepted the rematch but didn't. (for a good reason)

That's why i posted the fedor vids (even though they're from another sport) becaue they illustrate what i was saying earlier.).

You also forgot to mention that Lennox refused the rematch. (not surprising on his part considering that his opponent was dominating him before the cut stoppage) But yes , a win is a win

    Elaborate.

My position is reasonable enough. I'm claiming it would be a 50/50 type situation , without certainty.

FACT - Lennox Lewis gave the young pretender a shot at the title. He didn`t need to,he could have retired after the Tyson fight. If a rematch with Klitschko was close should LL have fought him for a 3rd time?,maybe a 4th time? Klitschko had his chance against an aging and out of shape LL and still wasn`t able to win. He has had to get over that and so should you!

"but he finally showed the world that Vitali Klitschko is not the H2H ATG heavyweight he is made out to be."

Do you base this on the faults he showed in one fight versus Johnson? In that case we should question the legitimacy of Lewis as ATG on the basis of Rahman? Or Bhop due to defeat to Calzaghe?
IMO if Vitali and Johnson fought again it could well be a different story with a quick or late rounds stoppage.
Fighters shouldn't be judged on one fight

He would go the distance with Ali, unless it's 1968. Foreman would walk right thru him, Tyson would get underneath and get him out of there sooner or later. None of this means that he's a bad fighter, he's just not on a level with these guys. Very few HW's are.

Like all great fighters I think he rises to the level he needs to, this was the case for sure against KJ..... who knows or cares how the mighty Klit would fare against all these other ATGs, I do place him in a ATG category due to the fact that he has risen to every fight in his era and maybe would have done the same in an earlier time.

if were boxing and i cause cuts to your face its cause of the leather on my gloves and/or vasaline not being applied correctly or just a awkward placed punch. it dosent mean it was a powerful punch its more of a lucky punch if anything.

people like tommyV cant be rational cause there u.k and cant hear that lewis was getting beat up and use come backs like "lewis tko 7" or some **** but ever smart person knows that the writing on paper does not tell the whole story.

on i side note i've said it before most u.k posters are like esb's ******s.
