herbie landed some good shots on vitali..herbie wasnt by anymeans a devastating puncher..but he was still dangerous and couldnt dent it..and got knocked out because he couldnt dent it
This. Out of all the Vitali fights i have watched, I have only seen him hit by true hard shots twice, by Sanders and Lewis, both times he was in trouble. This in my mind isn't conclusive proof that he is iron chinned, no doubt the guy can take a shot. but his chin is being severely over rated by delusional fanboys
theres takin a shot and theres having a great chin...vitali is in the great chin catagory and only his delusional haters cant accept it...
:roflatsch The amount of fighters that say a guy who didn't KO them hits harder than guys who did KO them is laughable. It's an ego boost for themselves, they are trying to say the guy who did KO them got lucky. Sanders had good power but absolutely nothing like the Klithuggers make out. He spent the majority of his career fighting tomato cans and still has a relatively low KO%.
Vitali denied the fight happened. And then later was forced to admit his corner threw the towel in for him in the secound round vs Maskaev. Suprise suprise, Vitali claims he was injured.:roflatsch
I think his chin is a bit overrated. He has a good one but, in recent times he's faced many non hard hitters like Adamek,Sosnoski, one armed Briggs,No power Kevin Johnson etc
how can a chin of a man who has never been down be overated???it can be slightly untested..but it cannot be overated..
Overrated because people say he has the ATG chin or one of, when he has taken flush shots relatively little, and two that he did, obviously had him hurt. Sort of like Mayweather tbf.
This. Its not been tested often enough to be proven great. I'd say his chin is adequate. For a heavyweight this is good enough.
Lol Lewis won the last 2 rounds and had Vit holding for dear life, if anything Lewis was taking control. lets not get delusional here.
Im not saying he doesnt have a good chin. Im saying it hasnt been truely tested and certified, absolutely nothing to get excited about. He hasn't been in too many wars where he gets hit over and over again in the face the 1st time he lost, and the other time he was almost finished in the first round. Im not hating im just calling it how I see it. If that's hating then Im a hater. :nut , I think Vitali's a good boxer, but he's chin is definitely being overated here. Like I said, Vitali's chin is decent, but not thread-worthy, certainly.
There is a difference between not going down because of great defence, and not going down because of great chin. Vitali does not go down because of great defence. He's defensive skills here are being underated and his chin overated.
