Sure Wladmir has beaten better opponents and deserves his belts, but Vitali's resume is almost as good name-wise.

But a higher KO %.

Haye or Adamek would be icing on the cake.

I don't know how he can do this, considering how much physical trouble he'd been going through when he retired. I think somebody went down to the crossroads. oooo. Spooky.

It's pathetic isn't it? The truth of the matter is he lost to the 2 best fighters he ever faced.

Of course he has a good comeback but just look at the quality of the opponents FFS atsch You want to see a great comeback then watch Hagler V Leonard, THAT was a great comeback, as was Foremans. VITLAYS comeback is 'good' not 'great'.

 

Say what you want to about his opposition but the man has had an amazing comeback. He served an undefeated fighter his first loss via stoppage. He stopped Sam Peter who only had 1 prior loss, he did the same to Gomez.

He's tried to make fights with other top level guys who have all backed down. Once again you can't penalize the Klits because the heavyweight landscape is pathetic. Bottom line the guy is a machine and I believe head to head he would trouble if not beat many past champions.

 

Vitali retiring after bitching about Lewis retiring was pretty funny.

Not quite up there with the kung foo the ref performed on Wlad in the Brewster fight, but a pretty funny moment.

 

No you can't penalise them for the heavyweight landscape being pathetic....but you can penalise them both for having losses on their record to fighters that aren't exactly ATG material. VITLAY got his face mashed by the worst version of Lennox Lewis that ever entered the ring and WALDO has 3 extremely bad losses on his record, only one of them has been avenged. VITLAY also has a quit on his record to a feather fist, not many ATG's have that distinction...doesn't matter how many bums he flattens in his twilight, he'll always have that black mark against him. Same thing with WALDO, he's got horrible losses there against a journeyman and a golfer, both unavenged.
