This is a comeback thread. Stick to the topic, or watch the world cup which likely does not feature your home countries team.:lol::lol:

I was replying to your post so therefore I can't be accused of dragging it off topic surely :huh

As for the World Cup, my 'home' team is Italy, current world champions so I'd not bring that up as a put-down if I were you :yep

On a friendly note - it's my Ridgebacks 8th birthday today, he's eaten a full leg of lamb and is lying by my feet, breaking wind with horrendous regularity

You allways call him Vitlai, it isnt a typo error, it is a spelling one .
I am not interested in tearing Vitali or his brother down they are decent champions and men ,allways in shape, and conduct themselves with dignity.

I don't think Vitali should be fighting this unproven kid,he does not merit a title shot, but ,as the German public will go to watch the Klits fighting anyone it really does not matter. US TV, and UK for that matter have wised up and passed on the Klits. they do not entertain or excite, and, bottom line that is what is sorely needed in the division.

Thanks for the brief ,unasked for biography.I myself, am not busy, I am financially comfortable, and, am free to do what I wish with my day.

Vitali is you new Jeffries, well good luck to you.

ps The Chin debate, Marciano /Sharkey has been absorbing ,but imo, Old Fogey has made the rest of us appear illiterate his rebuttals have been tremendously impressive . I think he has out classed your side on this.

Taking your humiliation badly ,aren't you. That's both Suzie Q, and myself you have resorted to personal attacks on, because both of us made you look like the puerile c**t you are.You cannot argue, you cannot debate, and your attempts at vilification are childish, and predictable. In arguments won on this forum ,you are batting zero , perhaps less stiffer opposition is required ?
    The general forum beckons.:hi:

Not to pole my nose into someone elses affairs, but this thread has gotten pretty nasty in tone. Can we just shake hands, make up, and get back to talking about boxing?

Sure. I think the man who started this thread, started it to stir the pot. He is a Vitali fanatic, an unhealthy one. I know this response from me opens up an even bigger can of worms, but it needed to be said.

    Maghoo,

Don't you wish some of vitali's victims(arreola, peters, harpooned whale, and Sanders) could have shown up in the shape sosnowski's in? Sosnowski's in great shape, too bad he just doesn't have any skill.

This whole thread is just ludicrous.
Both klits are very good heavyweights operating in a very weak era. That is why they win dominantly and dont lose many rounds. I personally think vitaly would be competitive in any era as a top contendor. Wladimir i think would struggle badly against the bigger punchers.
However,to make these lads out to be some sort of heavyweight legends capable of beating greats of the past is just pure bias.
    Vitaly lost his biggest test.
Wlad has lost heavily a couple of times,in a manner that does not bode well.
Mendoza, please enjoy your marriage, and get off this nonsense, otherwise i am going to make a case for sveny ottke being above robinson and greab...

I don't know about that. I disagree. Wlad has beaten many punchers, and he has improved as a fighter tremendously since his early losses. I would say he is in his prime right now. If Wlad defeats Haye, he will have beaten the fastest hardest punching heavwyeight in the last few years, and should silence the critics for good.

    Thanks for the support Suzie.
Back to Vitali,I see Sosnoski was virtually shutout by Zuri Lawrence 4 fights ago ,so a dec win for him is unlikely, Vitali has a good chin so I really don't see how the Pole wins this ,unless Vitali falls apart overnight.

To be fair, half a year ago you were saying that you wanted to see him beat Arreola because he's young, motivated, hard hitting and keeps coming forward.

Not only did get a win over Arreola, but he completed destroyed and embarrassed him. I think you should man up to your previous words and give him some credit, instead of now going back to "he has no respectable names in the win column".

I think its clear in my post i mean wlad would struggle against great fighters who are big punchers. I accept he can beat big punchers, and even if he beats haye it still doesnt mean a great deal as haye is too chinny.
I accept wlad has improved, but which GREAT fighters with punch power do you think he would beat? Tyson, lewis, foreman, holmes, liston, etc.

yes, in fact I commented on that the other day...

Its strange actually... Corrie Sanders shows up at a trim 225 against Wlad, then a year later is horribly deconditioned... Sam Peter enter the ring looking like a whale against Vitali, but then gets his act together, and is now in pretty good shape... As for Arreola, I don't know if the man has ever looked good really.. But I agree with your point.. For all the ****ing money these guys make, and going into a career making bout, they can't keep themselves in decent condition.. Hell, I'm nearly 36 years old, work at a desk all day, and look better than some professional fighters in their 20's.... There's something seriously wrong with that....

I do think that they were still respectable wins though.
