Vitali's defense and stamina. Is anyone else impressed.

    Locke,

You are talking out of your arse. I in fact picked Vitali to win by 9th round stoppage. Check my history of posts. Do not spread lies.

Huh? I am a die hard Wladimir Klitschko fan

WLadimir is! Yes Wladimir Klitschko is an all time great, i LOVE wlad! I am a die hard Wlad./ Vitali on the otherhand is and has always been the most overrated fighter on the planet, he will get exposed soon bigtime. I hope wlad is the one to do it.

YOU mean WLADS throne. Wlad is the only real champion in there, not vitali. Wlad is the RING champ, well earned. Vitali has alot to prove.

Wlad has cleaned out the division the past 4 years. He is the first heavweight champion since mike tyson to unify all 3 belts in such a short period of time. Vitali has accomplisheds nowhere near what Wlad has. As far as skill/talent/power goes, wladimir wins this by a landslide.

While Vitali is taking on Arreola and Johnson, Wladimir is taking on the masters in the division Potvekin and Chambers. This is why Wlads legacy will always be better.

Arreola showed lots of guts and a good chin. Even Vitali said this in the interview. As the fight showed Vitlai was the first man to stop an " all in " Arreola who gave his best to win.

I suggest you watch some of Vitali's fight prior to the injuries. He hit harder than Wlad, even Universum and their trainer said so. These days Vitali doesn't need to turn his punches over and press it for the stoppage. It simply comes with time. Still the right hand that floored Gomez was a true bomb.

Vitali has always tested clean as a pro. Once agian you have a bad double standard as your beloved New England Patriots were caught cheating, yet you'll try to down play that and up play a positive drug test that has never happened to Vitali as a pro.

Please explain to me exactly how Vitali is vulnerable? Did you not watch the fight? These small heavies simply can't get to him without catching a lot of leather on the way in. Arreola hitting and holding body shots didn't bother Vitali, nor did any of his shot when he actually landed something. As long as Vitali is injury free and in this type of shape, he's going to carry his belt to age 40.

If the patriots are cheaters, so is Vitali Klitschko. Vitali got BANNED from the olympics for testing positive for roids! YIKES THATS SERIOUS

:lol::lol: Wlad actually knows how to twist his body into a punch, his technique is far superior to vitalis arm punches. Wlads straight right is so much more powerful and effective than any of vitali's sloppy arm punches.

Vitali lacks one punch power. He is unable to put away guys early, he needs an attrition of arm punches for 10 straight rounds to put them away. Travis Walker hurt Arreola far more than Vitali did. Wladimir puts guys lights out with 1 punch. Chagaev went down hard from one straight right hand. Chagaev has a better chin than Arreola.

And the difference is Vitali won his crown as a pro cleanly, while the Patriots cheated multiple times.

Then I must ask who said this? Names please. The poll here had 69 people in it. Only 10 of 69 felt Vitlai would win in rounds 1-4 which is not the same as round 1 or 2. Most people felt a mid to late TKO was the best call, and they were correct. In fact the least represented Vitali by stoppage part of the poll was in rounds 1-4.

Ok, I stand corrected SQ...your grudge is against Vitali, but it is most unfair...give an old guy some credit...and remember, if he hadn't had to take off those injury prone years, he may have made Wlad's reign a moot point.

Now that's an icon of a different color! And I thought Arreola took a pounding last night. Has SuzieQ won a round in this thread yet, or do you think he's too young and in-experienced to be matched with the others here in the classic section?

Vitali fought a good fight, no doubt about it! I had it scored 100-90 (Klitschko) when the fight was stopped. 80 punches per round in a heavyweight contest! Arreola was right there to be hit, but that was still a remarkable display by a 38 year old athlete!

I also give credit to Arreola. He is a tough son of a gun in the ring! If only that toughness extended to his training and lifestyle habits, he would be a force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division. Sadly, it does not!

SQ: Sour grapes, wow. Your man was game but could not do anything against Vitali. The power and combination punching you were nonexistent. I guess it had nothing to do with how Viatli handled him ?

You did say that Vitali would win but you also made it clear Chris belonged in the ring with him. Instead, it was a one sided beating. At best Chris squeezed out a round, the eigth, simply because all the others were so one sided. At the very least you should give Vitali credit for dominating the man you were so high on. At 28, how long can you make excuses for him ?

At 38 Vitali definately has numbered days but last night he proved he was Arreola's daddy for sure. AS far as the steriods go, if anything it now substanciates that Vitali is clean.

Head to head, Wlad is more athletically gifted but Vitali is much tougher. Give Wlad his brothers chin and you have rthe best heavyweight of all time.

Can't you just for once give the guy a shred of credit?

I was impressed with Vitali and it was funny to hear Stewart say that Vitali is a much better fighter now then the fighter who beat Corrie Sanders, which means the fighter who fought Lewis. I think the confidence and experience of a Champion certainly helps a fighter. Areola was still a better opponent than many of Holmes opposition and Lets face it he would have beaten a lot of fighters who challenged for the title in the past. Areola must maintain a good condition before he gets into a big fight, it is the discipline of a warrior. The Klitschkos maintain condition, in fact the gain weight(muscle, while in training)) and walk around in the 230-240 range. Too bad there are not too many Heavys who can challenge but let face it What could Cooney,Shavers,Norton,Lyle,Mac Foster,James Smith,Tim Witherspoon,Page,Coetzee,Zanon,Occasio,Cleveland Williams, Ernie Terrell, Al Blue Lewis,Jimmy Ellis,Joe Bugner,Henry Cooper,Chuck Wepner,Chuvalo,Quarry,Tommy Morison,Razor Rudduck,Scott Frank,Alfreado Evangelista, Richard Dunn,Etc... What could they Do against these guys except get KTFO....everyone has a punchers chance but I think they would all be dominated by the K's...does anyone one find a challenger in the Last 20 years that has a chance
