Vitali's defense and stamina. Is anyone else impressed.

He's certainly improved defensively in using his size & strength to his advantage, and he does throw a lot of punches for a 38 year old. The trouble is, there's nothing behind them any more.

By the same token Lewis was a substancially better fighter years earlier than the one who fought Vitali. Still near punched his face off, tho.

That's a massive group to hold out. A guy like Rudduck, with his size and power would be a huge danger, especially to Wlad with the weaker chin.

He fights kind of like a giant heavyweight version of Roy Jones.

If being 6'7 and leaning forward and then leaning back is great defense then the HW standards have been reduced to a joke and the division has been diminished of all of its art and excellence. I'm sorry, Vitali is a great fighter but he's not special and I'm not convinced. His power is overrated, and his competition makes him far more dominant looking than he is. Let's be real, Foreman has faster foot-speed at 45 than Arreola does.

I wasn't impressed with his defense at all, in fact I thought it was rather stupid that Arreola wasn't able to see patterns in it. Arreola throws a jab and steps in, Vitali leans back and throws the left hook, Arreola misses with his right because he's knocked off balance, Vitali moves to his left and is out of range again. What about a consecutive jabs, mixing it up between body and head before attempting that overhand right for example. He did not set traps, nothing. It was one dimensional, and he was begging for a severe beating which he got.

Excuse me..are you talking about the fight last night?
You are out of your mind..blind and was in the kitchen fighting with a bottle opener. Listening to the Mexican's cheer, that he'd finally swung...they cheered even if he missed. But you was in the Kitchen.

After round 4 I lost track how many times Chris hit Vitili the whole fight up to then, but there are times when I have trouble counting to six, if I don't find my off thumb instead of my pinky.

Susi, I've lost track of how many times I've told you, Vittili did not go shooting up at the gym. He took the medicine for a kick boxing injury, that his Russian doctors gave him.
He was not in charge, like in the west...he really wasn't.
It was a compleatly different social system than you refuse to research.

A great deal of legal west medicine was not available in russia...hell they were even often short of plain pennecillian......

Tommy did you ever think he had respect for a guy who was 28 wins 25 by KO?
He has seen what one punch can do to his brother...so he don't swap thunder punchs if he don't need too.
In fact he's seen 37? times what one good punch can do to his oponents, stunning them for a good follow up or two.

To me, Vitali chooses to throw less powerful, arm punches. It's his style and it helps his defense. I think he was putting more power towards the end and he could have KO'd him. He does have good defense.

Seriously, that was one of the most awkward sloppiest fights this year. Let's not make a big deal of it. Don't make it sound like the man showed out. His movement at times looked like that of a new-born deer. The heavyweights suck. Thank goodness for the lower weights.
