Is vitali's chin that good? how hard has he got hit over the years? i"ve never seen him get smack with a good bomb; unlike wald; i believe vitali's defense is better than waldimirs; but is his chin better?

He took a great Lewis uppercut and was really hurt but stayed on his feet and was out on his feet against Sanders, he has a very very good chin there is no doubt.

Well Lennox Lewis hit Evander Holyfield and Ray Mercer with big punches and neither one of them were close to going to either. For the most part Vitali only fights guys who dont punch back. If he faced half way decent fighters and took their best punches then you could say his chin was great. Until then he is just a big, slow, unskilled european fighter lucky to be in a era where the heavyweight divsion is garbage.

ahh i dont know if he has an iron chin but he does have a good one....

but the last statement is just dumb....

yes unskilled european heavyweight...ok buddy have you trained with russian/soviet
techique is something that is very stressed....if he had no skill he would get hit more....

and yes the divison is garbage....yeah....the whole entire world cant produce one good heavyweight lol

yes i agree the divison is not in good shape, and it is one of the worse decades but saying it is garbage is something else....

maybe your just unhappy that times have changed and euro heavyweights are the ones with skills now....

yes america use to produce much better heavyweights.....but you gotta remember something else...during those glory days half the world could not turn pro

It's not as battle tested as say, Chuvalo's or Mercer's, but having seen him take that vicious uppercut from Lewis and still fight back tells me everything I need to know.

At the very least it's dependable.

Vitali's chin is battle tested. Power punchers such as Lewis, Sanders and Hide landed their best.

Chavalo has a rep for having a top chin, and he sure does, yet he did not last long vs Frazier or Foreman, and I happen to think at least two of Vitali's opponents hit harder than Frazier.

I don't think anyone could last if they had their orbital bone broken.

I dont say Vitali's chin is concrete, but it is very good ,better than his brothers for sure,I dont think he has ducked anyone either, the division stinks but that is hardly his fault.

Just because americans suck at HW boxing doesn't mean the division is garbage. Remember that for a long time east european fighters couldn't fight as pros. If they did maybe we wouldn't have been talking about the great Larry Holmes or Mike Tyson.

Vitali was badly shaken in the 2nd round ,but weathered the storm,he is similar to his brother if you force him out of his comfort zone and slug inside he is all at sea, he relies on his height and reach to avoid punches ,get close and he is distinctly uncomfortable
.Sanders did ok for awhile but, never very dedicated, he was only half fit and gassed out.

I think Vitali's right hand power is a bit overated , he is more of a grinder than a one punch bomber imo.If Arreola is in shape [mighty big if ] and willing to take one to give one ,we may see a battle.

Both the Klits have this Ivan Drago mystique but they are very cautious boxers ,nothing" bombs away" about them ,until they have systematically drained an opponent of ambition and strength .

...You're right. He did field some bombs against Sanders as well. I haven't seen the Hide fight in it's entirety, but I'll take your word for it.
