Truer words couldn't be spoken by boxing guru here.
The truth is that not a single guy on Klits resume is worthy to spit shine prime Lennox boots, let alone fight him.

Prime Lennox fought only +A ATG bonafide HW legends, such as the outstanding bread entrepreneur Mavrovic.

Imagine what the ATG HW and p4p top 10 legend and Bread God Mavrovic would do to the Klits had he been born in the 70's instead of the 60's.

Please BG8888, delight us more with your vast knowledge of the sport and your superb and objective posts which are a great addition to the already intellectually rich ESB general forum.

My point is Stiverne is garbage, was that not clear? Other here seemed to understand quite clearly. :patsch

More like WTF is YOUR point? We are talking about Stiverne/Vitali here, so put your hard on for prime Lennox away.

I don't think we will even see Vitali fight this guy he only has 2 fights left and I doubt he would waste one on Stiverne. Would not be shocked if Stiverne fights Arreola for Vitali's belt when he retires though.

Over-matched stiffs have been on the menu for Vitali for a long long time. Jesus just look at his recent opponents they are absolutely atrocious.

    Like Hasim Rahman, maybe?

Oh, that's right, he knocked Lewis cold in Lewis's "prime."

I think Stiverne is a better fighter than he showed last night. He's got lightning quick hand speed and a devastating right. His got some tactical and stylistic flaws, obviously. He's definitely prone to having "off nights." But still, when Stiverne brings his "A" game, he's a worthy contender.

OP: Nothing will get in the way of Vitali vs Stiverne. That's because Stiverne is a Don King fighter. King puts up the money, and he calls the shots.

Good take on Stiverne. He could do some damage if matched right when the K2 are gone. He'd beat guys like Pulev, Dimitrenko, Price, Fury, and Boystov, but he'd be better to stay away from a healthy Helenius or a Mitchell, Chisora type guy.

As for your second paragraph......wow have things changed. 10 yrs ago when the K2 were on the rise and looking for big names to fight, King had several he kept away from the K2 like Valuev and prime Ruiz. I think adding a few of his better fighters from 00-08 to their resumes would aid them greatly in the ATG debate. Sad his contracts were always laden with option clauses etc.

One thing good did come of it though.....the K2 singlehandely loosened the stranglehold DKP had on the HW division by forcing him to deal on their terms. Something that had not happened since he first got his hands on it in the 70s.:think

I agree with your statements about the change in the HW promotional atmosphere. The K Bros. sure did loosen King's stranglehold.

I'm glad you point out that Valuev vs a K Bro. never happened because of King. That's the truth. This fight never happened because King knew the Bros. would demolish and KO Valuev, which in turn would destroy DKP's remaining toehold in the division.

I remember when Valuev vs Vitali was being explored years ago, King demanded a massive purse (and rightly so). This is because King knew his anticipated future revenue from Valuev would be reduced or eliminated by a KO loss to Vitali, and he wanted compensation. That's kind of like a balloon payment on a debt, or a huge down payment on a mortgage. But that's business.

Curiously, a lot of fans don't understand that DKP was the reason why Valuev vs a Bro. never happened. These fans naively think that the Bros. avoided Valuev because of his height. The truth is quite the opposite.
