the Klitshko's can only fight those who are available, it's not their fault there was nobody who could deal with them for so many years (I'm talking about post Lewis Vitali, and Wlad under Steward)

and other than Wlad-Haye in the UK, and Vitali-Adamek in Poland, Klitschko fights are aired for free

 

While lewis was at the tail end of his career would it not be fair to say that vitali was rather green and not yet at his peak when that fight took place? That was a huge step up for him.

 

I think you ought to be asking why he hadn't stepped up before topping thirty in both age and pro fights, the exact opposite of what you are asking.

Yet you want to ask why he didnt the wait longer? Incredible. You are asking the opposite of the question that needs asking, its like asking why is Obama a white man.

 

Vitali green? he had 33 fights going into the Lewis bout, but if you want to make a case, Vitali was supposed to fight Cedric Boswell, while Lewis was schedueled to face Kirk Johnson, and Vitali stepped in on 2 weeks notice, and as we all know, fat Lewis was still leagues above Boswell

 

funny how unskilled fatboys are almost exclusively the ones available when its the K bros but not when its other eras.

Maybe he ought to have stepped up by then, but he hadn't. All im saying is that while that wasnt a prime lennox lewis it also wasnt a prime vitali klitschko.

oh come on. not that old chestnut again. He was at the height of his powers. If ANY athlete performing at the top level hasn't reached prime when getting past 30 then his 'prime' is basically a getout clause for fanboys.

some of the K bros opponents are not bad, who would deny that? But there are no good prime HW opponents there, period.

 

So you think that was vitali at the best he's ever been. Thats fair enough then, i see where your coming from. I just disagree and dont think that he was, i dont think he'd had experiance at a high enough level to be at his best in that fight.
