Vitali didn't swing for the fences like some punchers Briggs said he hit harder than Foreman. Danny Williams said his power was comparable to Tyson's Levi Billups said Vitali, who KO'd him in 2 rounds him hit harder than Lewis, whom he went the distance with. The key for me was Universum who promoted both Klitschko's said Vitali hit harder than Wlad. I'd love to hear Ross Purity's thoughts as he faced a gauntlet of punchers. Few stopped Purrity. Vitlai was the only man to stop Donald, and the only one to blow Kirk Johnson out. He could hit hard for sure, and keep his power in the later rounds
Maybe you should watch Vitali take hard shots from Sanders or Hide before saying his chin was never tested. It might surprise you to learn Vitali was never floored in any of his boxing matches...ever. Vitali fought Lewis, Sanders, Hide, Briggs, Peter, and Williams, All of whom can punch. I get it, hater's are going to hate. All I ask is they be factual.
Eastern European boxers and MMA fighters cut easier from what I've seen. Lewis had less in the tank at the end of the 6th. Klit was tired as **** too. Who knows how it would have ended?? Klit's face was ****ed and Lewis looked like he was about to collapse. Klit looked better in those 6 rounds though. That we do know. Sucks we didnt get to see a second fight. Lewis knew something some of us assume. He was 37 right?
hes not hating, he said he had decent chin. Your retort was that "haters gonna hate" for him saying vits has decent chin lol
I don't go by how a fighter looked halfway through a fight.Conn v Louis? Marciano v Walcott? Have taught us that. It's possible a more motivated ,better trained,Lewis could repeat the win with Vitali now carrying scar tissue from the 68 cuts of their first fight.Right?
Vitali couldn't floor an old Briggs whereas Lewis did.Vitali hit Briggs with flush right hands all night and never had him looking like he was going down.Briggs ran from Foreman he engaged with Vitali.Tyson was washed up when Williams got him, prime Tyson would have taken Williams out early.Wlad hit harder than Vitali and its not even debateable.
Post his injuries, I agree Wlad hit harder. Pre-injuries, Universum said Vitali hit harder. The testimonials of the fighters on the receiving end of the punch all say Vitali hit hard using the benchmark of Foreman, Lewis, and Tyson! How can you argue with that???
Just decent is not being objective. Vitali's chin was tested by bombs that landed. No man put him down...ever. I would use words like Excellent, or Incredible to describe his ability to take a punch, not " decent " By saying decent only, your either misinformed or a hater. Take your pick. I would easily argue Vitali Klitschko had one of the 12 best chins in the history of the heavyweight division, which spans over 120+ years! Humor me and come up with ten better, and I'll pick your list apart in a NY minute. Let me know if you can, HerolGee. I'm guessing you can't and if you do, it won't hold up.
Well like you said he didn't commit to his punches often, yet he had two ability to hurt his opponents quickly. If you take the Peter fight, he rocked him as early as round one. Yet Wlad could not do the same until he final round of the first fight, and took longer to finish him in the second. What do you make of that? With his height, mobility, and anticipation of the action, I think he picked the best style for him. He didn't need to swing wildly.
