how can people say that haye would ko vitali. Vitali has never been down in his life and you can prob count the number of rounds vitali has lost in his full career on your hands

Vitali has been an accumulation puncher for a long time. Idiots get seduced by hi KO percentage. Same thing happened with Kelly Pavlik. No doubt Briggs' massive bulk helped keep him in there, of course, but Wladimir would have finished such a sitting duck in about the 8th.

I wonder how much age is starting to take its toll on Vitali as going the distance twice recently is unheard of for him.

These discussions would probably be a moot point if the ref had have done his job and stopped the fight for mercy's sake.

Haye might (just MIGHT!) KO Wladimir if the gods favour him, but a wrecking ball wouldn't KO Vitali.

Sdunek said they are disappointed by his inability to put Briggs down, and they are gonna work on Vitali's KO power and *stance* for his future fights.

I hope we see him start throwing fully committed, fully body behind them, powershots once again. He's gotten too complacent due to so many dominant wins with the arm punching.

They seem to realize the excitement of a knockout should be what they strive for, as boxing is a business. Lots of excitement and high power KOs. That is what the public wants to see.

Vitali has the size, leverage, speed, strength, and skill to be a devastating puncher, but his technique seems to be what is hindering his power, even as effective as it is.

I wonder what other measures they'll take to increase his punching power........Chef raising his protein intake? Benching heavier and longer into the training schedule?

Vitali's punching power has decreased a little bit, but it was still enough to bring Shannon into hospital with two fractures in his face and a concussion. Vitali was in great shape last night and outboxed Shannon and had him almost knocked out. The gong saved him but maybe a ko would have been better for his health. Haye would have gone down in few rounds yesterday, Shannon showed a lot of heart, poor Shannon will never be the same after this punishment thanks to his stupid corner. Anyway Congratulations Vitali for a great performance!

fightnews reported that Briggs is all busted up. Vitali is a very powerful arm puncher. He's lost some of it with age. He did show some 1 punch KO power years ago but was always an accumlation puncher 4 the most part tho.

He does not hit as hard as he once did. But Vitali is a all around better fighter than Wlad. Vitali fights a much faster and busy pace. Wlad throws way less punches and holds way to much. Wlad can't take a punch.

haye would probably do it on points. but if he kept hitting him with bombs for 9 rounds, then there's a big chance he stops him. no one would be able to take that kind of power for that long. not even vitali. :good

i thought he punched harder against briggs then he did against any of his come back opponents. he looked better as well.
