Vitali's resume is pure garbage??and people try to say he's a atg heavyweight?

His entire reputation rests on one fight: against Lennox Lewis. What people don't realize is that even Lennox Lewis has a **** resume, full of fat/old/shot fighters that Lennox ducked in their primes.

So doing well against Lennox Lewis shouldn't make you an ATG. Plus, Oliver McCall knocked Lennox out. Does that make him the GOAT?

Vitali is a fraud, just like Lennox was. Why does Vitali get to keep his paper title without fighting the best contenders, like Chambers, Chagaev, Dimitrenko, Rahman, Brewster? And why did he never ask for a rematch with Chris Byrd? You see how obvious it is that Vitali is a ducker.

Wlad, on the other hand, has a lot of top contenders on his resume, and has earned his place among the great HW champions.

 

I find it weird when people say he is a top 10 heavyweight. H2H, absolutely. But the way I rate my heavies, young bro Wladimir rates a touch higher. Both 18-25, I'd have to re-think it, everything below 12 always changes.

 

This is how I rate the top 12 wins of his career. Not a horrible resume, but totally understandable to bring into question the shallowness.

Aren't Dempsey, Marciano and even Holmes a tad overrated when it comes to their records too? Jack Johnson's reign wasn't all the impressive either, same with Tyson if you want to rate him in the top 10. HW division is usually shallow.

 

Sam Peter, Adamek, Chisora, Sanders - those are what you would call solid heavies - the guy who beats them is more than solid - something like world class. Now it's true Vitali hasn't beaten anyone HoF-worthy and that's a blot on his resumé. But when you reign for 10 years and beat all contenders put in front of you and don't duck anyone - that means you can be HoF worthy anyway. Not the Goat or anything like that, but definitely HoF.

 

Compare Vitali's "top 12" to Rocky Marciano's top 12. I would call anyone who would select Vitali's as out of their mind.

Vitai would have knocked them all out!!!!!!! Hell, he beat Chisora with one arm!!!!!!! Sour grapes by haters are obvious. Dan Rafael puts Vitali as one of the best ever!!!!!!!

I didn't say Vitali's record is better just that there are many 'lock' top 10 atg HWs with overrated records.

Both brothers will end up 15-20. Not bad in a terrible era.

I knew what you said. More or less just throwing that out there to anyone, and was curious myself. It's true, just about everybody on the ATG HW list except for Ali and Louis can be nit-picked apart.

Viali's status is based on domination,longetivity and h2h skills, he lacks resume but its not his fault the division was weak when he was active.

 

His resume isn't amazing but H2H he is quite dangerous.

 

Heavyweights get greedy and think the K brothers are easy prey. They always leave disappointed. These same guys without the K brothers around would look like superheroes. It is all relative.
