This thread done been done, btw. :deal Those are ordered in a sort of "all things considered" manner. For instance, Solis is better than Arreola - who also came in disgracefully fat against Vitali - but Solis came in so overweight that his own knee exploded from practically the first partially landed blow he absorbed. Hence the value of that W is lessened due to its anticlimactic nature.
1st Peter - WBC title holder, strong powerful, gave Wlad a tough first fight. 2nd Hide - 2 time WBO title holder, fast and powerful, hurt Bowe, beat Tucker. 3rd is harder to call. Maybe Adamek as a 2 weight world champion but had some controversial wins against Chambers and Cunningham and the way Vitali dominated him suggest he was never that good at heavyweight. Sanders I feel is over rated by some, chinny, poor stamina beaten against Tubbs and Rahman. But he gave Vitali a tougher fight so he could be third but no higher. Hide was better, with a better record and more success during the same era.
LOL. Sanders was a 38 year old semi retired pro golfer. The fact that he and Klitschko were ranked #2 and #1 by the Ring when they fought only emphasizes how much the HW division had gone to complete **** after Lewis' retirement Whose claim to fame is losing to Wlad, getting a gift over an ole, fat, out-of-shape James Toney and KO'ing Oleg Maskaev. Sadly, this is probably Ole Quitschko's best win. Speaks volumes. A blown up light heavyweight whose only claim to fame post 175 is getting a gift over Steve Cunningham @ Cruiserweight. Klitschko's resume is a J O K E.
vits resume is weak, and it is entirely justifiable to appraise his h2h ability as not good. however he would rip wlad apart in 2 rounds, I am pretty sure of it.
Shot beyond all belief , inactive and over weight Sanders is a good win? A prime , young version is barely a good win for Hasim Rahman. But the old and shot version is Vitali's best ever win:huh Ok. I'd out his top 3 like this. Arreola Chisora Sanders. There really isn't much to work with.
if sanders, a flop and destroyed by journeymen in his absolute prime, can become an "ATG" close to becoming undiputed unified champ when hes shot2sht retired in the K2 era, what does that say?
hide, forgot about him. he had enough assets to become a bitpart titlist in the lewis era, which easily displaces shat neveracheiver 38 year old retired sanders, who would be an unknown if he hadn't had the opportunity to meet a titlist weak enough to fall to a retiree. bitpart minor titlist Hide LHW Addy 6 round Sam Hide possibly ties with bitpart titlist fat sam.
Hide always belonged at cruiser. His becoming a 2-time WBO heavyweight titlist isn't as impressive as it sounds. He beat 11-1 Bentt and shot Tucker.
Hide was a smallish heavy but he was ripped at 221lbs against Vitali so he was either a huge cruiser or a small heavy. Hide wasn't that good but it's not like he's up against a murderers row of opposition when comparing him to the rest of Vitali's resume. What did Sanders do other than beat Wlad and a version of Wlad that was losing to the likes of Puritty and Brewster? Vitali didn't even beat a prime Sanders but an old one who was 10lbs heavier than when he beat Wlad. Vitali at least beat a prime Hide. Hide was fast and powerful like Haye. Bowe said than he didn't know where he was after he was hurt by Hide, so Hide could clearly bang. Hide was good enough to go 6 rounds with a reasonably in shape Bowe despite being bounced off the canvas like a basketball. I'd rate Hide's meager achievements over Sanders.
