Stiverne has let his talent go down the drain

he was a great amateur, but has shown nothing special at HW

IB, I love your RBRs, but come on.

Have you SEEN his KOs of Manswell and Austin?

How can a guy who hits like that be worse than a guy who failed to stop geriatric Bert Cooper?

Stiverne hits harder than prime Tyson. POWER!!! RAGE!!!!!!

I'll never trust your RBRs again. How can I trust someone with such poor judgement?

    WAR STIVERNE!!!!! :bbb

  4. Stiverne ain't **** til he fights UBSWA #12 contender Malik Scott!

Can you believe a 33-0 fighter isn't even ranked by the main bodies?
Imagine the same team winning the Super Bowl 33 years in a row.
I reckon Scott schools Stiverne to a wide UD, but in order to get that privilege Stiverne should have to fight 10-0 Irineu Beato Costa Junior first. :bbb

And Stiverne also beat better opponents imo. That and his power. Weliver beating the Atomic Bull or Mitchell/Chazz(proposed fights) Changes That imo.

1st of all, what does his resume have to do with the bit you quoted in bold and asked "How so?" about? Breaking down and evaluating individual qualities contrasted between two fighters has nothing to do with what names someone has on their Boxrec page and everything to do with actually watching both fighters...

If you watch Welliver and watch Stiverne, you'll find that Welliver is of mediocre skill level and Stiverne of much, much lower. Stiverne meanwhile possesses fair power while Welliver possesses very, very poor "power".

2nd, yeah, let's talk about resume...since ultimately the meta-purpose to this convo is determining who is the worthier of two unworthy challengers to VK...

Other than the burnt-out husk of Rainman, what does Stiverne have on his record that's so great? Please don't be overly impressed by him violently popping Kertson Manswell's cherry. Manswell is AWFUL, and had a padded record. Welliver meanwhile has at least half a dozen wins over higher-level journeymen and former contenders that are just as good as the version of Austin that Stiverne was lucky to beat (since Ray was outboxing him before gassing)

I've seen those and more, which is why the idea of him in a world HW title bout offends me so much.

    Dude is garbage.

Manswell is less than garbage. Brutally knocking him out is nothing to write home about.

Have YOU seen the whole Austin fight, or just highlights of the end? Stiverne was getting found out by the old man, and it was his opponent's age & fatigue that got him the stoppage as much as his own power.

He's just another Nagy Aguilera. Enough power to KO stiffs, but no Earnie Shavers - and with very little else brought to the table.

    Opponents, plural? Et tu, Malden?

Don't tell me you got snookered by that glittering Manswell trophy, too. :-(

Stiverne's one good win at even solid gatekeeper level is over the washed-up corpse of Ray Austin, and he almost lost it. Welliver has several wins at that same level, and they were more convincing.

Welliver Love from IB. He knows what's up. Welliver would own Stiverne. 12-0 territory.

Elevating someone over Stiverne doesn't exactly call for a bursting heart, but yeah...:yep
