He is already WBC Emeritus Champion and I don't really know what has he done to have been awarded by Jose and the boys... So I guess he has that money in da bank match in a way of putting it, but he's not going anywhere with this... Doesn't get a tune-up fight and can't hold up with an active fighter's pace when it happens, just like Oleg couldn't. Vitaly's technical advantages over Peter is purely an academical exercise, believe me.
Certainly not, he has gotten many undeserved title shots over the last 5 years, against Ruiz, Bryd, Brewster, and I'm sure a forgot another name. I agree with you though, the only difference is, Golota has been active, and gave close matches to both Bryd and Ruiz, that no cant argue. Do you feel Vitali deserves a title shot after what he has put boxing through the last 3+ years? Remember, he held the belt hostage for a full year before retiring and giving the belt up in Nov or Dec of 05.
You obviously did not pay much attention to my post. I said, "Logically he may not desrve the title shot...," and I always try to apply logic to my posts, even concerning my favorite fighters. That being said, as we have witnessed over the decades, LOGIC is totally absent from both the promoters' and the corrupt organizations' lexicon.
I sense some slight hate for anything Klitschko in every one of your posts, amazing. The WBC granted him the emeritus status & that's the way the ball bounces.............
Alright, I think understand what you trying to say. I know your a big fan of Vitali and all, but I think it would only be fair to see him take on the winner of Gomez/Virchis, because these guys fought there matches to get there shot, would you be opposed to seeing the winner of Gomez/Virchis fight Vitali for a chance to be the number one contender for the title? I think thats a fair way to solve the problem.
Ruskull, even you know that isnt fair to Virchis or Gomez, the guy is undeserving. I feel he has hurt boxing more than helped it over the last 3 years, he has screwed over to many people to get everything handed to him like this, I'm just surprised King hasnt taken this one to court yet.
I completely disagree. Vitali has a style of leaning in & out to goad the opposing fighter into throwing punches that he can avoid & then counter. Peter fits the bill perfectly. I see Vitali beating him down much the same as he beat down Williams, who he almost had out in the very first round :good
I feel no pity for Don King. SAm's people need to make certain the contract contains a clause in the event of a cancellation..........but that's a double edged sword. Peter maight well be the one who wants to pull out due to an injury and then he'd screw himself. You follow? If I were signing a contract to fight VK I'd want some injury clause that required monetary compensation.
Unfortunately FAIR and boxing are mutually exclusive, otherwise the likes of don king and jose suleiman would be venue janitors. We can have endless discussions whats fair and what is not, however, promoters, fighters and abc entities will keep on doing what it is in their best interest.
How is this RUSKULL...you might consider this fair, for a clause... Since Vitali KLITschko has failed his last FIVE ATTEMPTs to complete training camp and compete in a signed even...most of which were for the WBC title... ...win, lose, draw, or cancel...for any reason...VITKLIT must give up his Championship Emeritus. :smoke
I think thats fair, though it sucks for us fans if Vitali pulls out yet again, because that just means Peter probably wont have another fight for about 9 to 12 months, it just holds progress up, and it's not fair to the few that still like and follow the Heavyweight division closely.
Thanks...If you'd stop masturbating to the KLIT's while typing, your letters might appear correctly like the rest of us. :good
