I know boxing is far from fair, but you would think Don King would be doing everything he can to prevent this fight from happening, because if Peter would happen to lose, there goes the WBC belt, when if he took Vitali to court, theres a good chance he can make a case for not fighting him. If I was King I would just set my fighters up with other fighters in my stable, like Golota vs Peter or something, just as much money can be made, and the title stays in the family, less of a hassle.

If they are so afraid of Vitali suffering an injury, they ought to set up a Gomez Virchis fight on teh undercard, and if Vitali does get injured, whomever of those two is ranked the highest, takes his place and fights Peter.

And if both fights do come off as planned (Peter Vitali - Gomez Virchis) then everything is kosher and the winners face each other in their next fight.

That would be fair to all involved.

I hope King steps in makes sure this fight doesnt happen, we dont need anymore cancellations or postponements, the division has suffered enough over the last few years with Vitali making failed comeback attempts. Peter is better for the division now than Vitali, at least he comes to fight and doesnt backout at the last minute because a sparring partner floored him or a fluke injury happend.

I think Peter's camp will try to sneak out of this fight in order to have a longer reign.

The former Vitali beats Peter for sure, the old injured retired Vitali has a 50% chance of beating Peter if he completes his training camp.

Anyway, the only way we may see this fight soon is if Vitali agrees to fight in Vegas and take 30% purse to Peter's 70%, with King's trademark rematch clause.
