Haye provided lots of entertainment tonight. Not bad for the start of his fulltime HW campaign. I'll certainly look forward to his next fight. As many have said, Vitali is a tall order -- Wlad is a more realistic (though very, very dangerous) opponent.

Haye doesn't have the single punch pop of Sanders or Peter, nor is he a southpaw, nor does he have the durability of Brewster or Peter. He'll give Wlad plenty of trouble, but probably come up short. Hope he has at least 1 more fight before he tackles Wlad. (2 would be better, he needs to stay active and get comfortable with his new weight).

 

Vitali will break Haye's china chin.

I haven't seen the fight, but Haye beat " a 38 year old journeyman, who never won any big fights and has been knocked out a few times."

Be carful what you ask for. Let him fight Vitali.

 

I'll have to watch the Haye-Barrett fight soon. This fight should be made soon between either Klitschko, both would KO Haye, Haye will go after whichever Klitschko he ends up being a number 1 contender most likely.

 

Haye will defeat Vitali and than

Wlad will defeat Haye to unify the titles.

 

does anyone else see a haye vs a klit fight being like a cotto fight, as in cotto being either of the bros (before margarito fight lol)

like when he fought malig, or judah... malig posed a threat that was dealt with rather effortlessly clinical with a few minor scares. cotto still seemed bigger, stronger and much more experienced/wise.

 

Haye could beat Wlad but he gets destroyed by Vitaly.

 

If Haye knows what's good for him he'll go after Wladimir and not Vitali. At least Wladimir's chin gives him a shot whereas Vitali would do something like this to Haye...

I would rather like to see Haye fight the winner of Thompson-Toney first. I also think that would be to Haye's is advantage as he has only one win against a very questinable opponent at heavyweight.

- If Toney wins, that would give him a fight against a true HOF.
-If Thompson wins, that would give hinm a fight against a real contender who has the size of Vitali and Waldo.Very interesting.

In addition, I do not think that a victory over fringe contender gives him the immediate right to fight for the title.

Haye needs another fight between now and a Klitschko, IMO.
