DOes anybody else here have a sneaky feeling that this will go the distance? Could be a good fight to make a couple of quid. After looking at the odds the bookies are heavily on a Klit KO.
I like the picture. That still doesn't really satisfy me though. Obviously Vitaly is huge favourite but I can definitely seeing (a fit!) Chisora lasting the distance and maybe, if Vitaly's gotten old, just maybe he could nick it on work rate. Does anyone not think I'm mentally insane? PS I don't just support fighters because of nationality - in fact though I'm a brit I wanted Wlad to beat Haye.
Tell all your freinds to bet on Delboy. He's a sure thing. Shouldn't go the distance. Nothing Delboy used against Robbie H will work against Vitali and it has always been the case that come-forward fighters get stopped by him. (except rockhead Briggs)
shouldn't go the distance ,but I think it will, I would bet on Wlad by KO against chisora, but not sure about Vitali.
I don't think I made myself clear. I'm not really talking about what I 'think' will happen I'm simply saying that the bookies have it HUGE odds on that it'll finish inside the distance. Put it this way, if someone held a hunt to my head I'd pick VK by KO. I'm simply saying there is a lot of value in betting that it goes to points. And yes I will be sharing that with my (non-boxing) friends, we always share value bets.
Vitali is not Helenius as Chisora will soon find out, but I wonder if Chisora will go into a shell like so many others? Aggression does not work against Vitali, Vitali's work rate is awesome, great counter-puncher, great timing, great defense, knows how to set opponents up......................I think Vitali will stop Chisora, even if Chisora goes into a shell like Johnson.............
Del-Lusional Boy has no chance of going the distance, because he has a big heart & is NOT going to pull a "David Haye." He's going to go down swinging. Probably in round 2 or 3. - And he'll probably gain more respect from this loss than most fighters gain from winning. (unless he comes into the ring his old, tubby self, in which case I'll have to start calling him "Dough Boy" again. But I don't see that happening.)
On a positive note: As meaningless as this fight is for the true boxing fans, it will probably be a MAJOR shot-in-the-arm for the sport of boxing. It's JUST what the average / casual / non -fan will get excited about: A tall, handsome white HW beating a black guy into a bloody pulp. Sad, but very true.
You're missing my dry humor. I've always said, if I were ever going to bet actual money on a fight, I'd try to figure out what outcome will make the most money (long term) for the bookies, organizations, and networks. I sure wouldn't worry about who's the best fighter.
I've got that feeling too but logically it's just not going to happen. I've learnt to go with your head over these feelings. Vitali stops him 7-9 and that's what I'd bet on. Currently at 11/4. May stick a tenner on if it stays at that come fight night.
