And yes, I DO claim to be a GOOD Samuel Peter fan. Actually, I feel I am a GOOD fan of all the boxers I like. When I say GOOD fan, I refer to someone that can not only root for their guy, but also admit and accept their guy's faults... and especially, when their guy loses fairly... not make excuses and give props to the guy that won the fight. Now, I am NOT saying that I don't stir the pot with some of the Klit-ites... I do. That is more of having a bit o' fun with the boys. I respect both Klitschko brothers and feel both are good, classy gents.

I really wish we had more GOOD fans here though. There are a number, but not enough. It makes this forum frustrating sometimes and virtually unreadable other times.

That being said... I am rooting for Sam bigtime on Saturday... but I see this fight being a disaster for him. He looks to be in poor shape, unfocused and his camp/side just "doesn't seem right". This is worrisome. I am hoping I am wrong, but have a feeling I'm not.

Final prediction: Vitaly is able to land the clean, straight shots and keep Sam at bay. Sam gets frustrated and starts winging the shots and gets caught in doing so. Vitaly's massive height advantage plays a HUGE part here and he is able to pick Sam apart.

    Klitschko by KO, round 4

I'd enjoy seeing this thread full of insightful posts regarding how you see the fight breaking down and what your prediction is. :good

^Thanks for not being biased about the fight, I understand as a Klitschko fan that Vitali has major ring rust problems coming up but I think he pulls it off Saturday.

If Peter gets destroyed by Vitali, I will be the first person to say he should either get a new team behind him, or possibly think about retirement. There should be no reason why he cant beat a rusty, 4 year inactive Heavyweight like Vitali.

The reason is that Vitali is not your ordinary comebacking fighter - he is too smart to agree to this fight if he wasn't capable of winning.

Look for Peter to go down in or after round 8...

Even though that's true it can be different for Vitali. He wants a title shot and wants it ASAP, he doesn't want to waste time with tune-ups, he already made it clear that he wants to accomplish the Klitschko dream by both him and his brother being champions at the same time. Now that his brother is training for a dangerous fight against Povetkin he wants to come and try to make history then retire once again(as he hinted he will).

Ultimately, regardless of the outcome, I'm hoping for a great fight. However, as a Vitali fan, my concern is that, like Sanders' victory over Wladimir, Peter will bullrush Vitali, overwhelm him with a flurry of hit-and-mis punches, and the ref will stop it before Vitali ever has a chance to get his feet back under him.

I agree if Vitali wasn't the old Vitali he wouldn't come back and he wouldn't be kidding himself.

Good to see you're honest about it, but i also think you're a bit too harsh on Peter. Klitschko usually has to wear his opponents down before he can knock them out; i think even the Klitschko that destroyed Johnson would have a very small chance of stopping Peter as early as round 4. Peter stood up very well to accumulative punishment; only Wladimir huge left hook and McCline's hard shots (an underrated hitter because of his limited stamina and skill) buckled or dropped him.

Also, what about Vitali? You seem to assume he's as good as he used to be, but there are very, very few fighters who were able to launch a successful comeback after 4 years of inactivity, nevermind ones that were 37 years old and had a career plagued by injury.

I'm picking Peter in this one, though i can certainly imagine Klitschko winning.

That's correct...He would never attempt a comeback if he couldn't perform at an appropriate level.

Furthermore, I truly believe that if Klitschko wins with a relatively easy and decisive knock-out, he will choose to fight again. I think the decision to remain in the game depends completely on the quality of victory. I don't believe a UD will keep him in the sport.

Honestly I see the same thing. Peter has problems in camp almost every fight. Weight, trainers, focus etc... WHY?. Why does Team Peter allow him to be over weight? I have been around team Peter.... It is not a "focused"team at all. Everyone wants to be in charge, yet no one is.

Saturday will be a very interesting night. I look forward to it

If Peter loses..I blame "TEAM PETER" not Sam. With the right team, a focused team around Sam, he could be much better than he currently is. IMO

If Vitali can stick to his apparent game plan of sticking and moving with quick short shots for all 12 rounds, he should win easily,
if at any point he tries to slug with peter, he will get hit on his ear and the back of his head and he will go down, and from there it's the beginning of the end

AGREED! I think this fight is important to Vitali 1st to prove to himself that he is a champion and 2nd to make history with Wlad. I see him hanging the gloves up if its a hard fight. Time will tell
