I agree - he did bottle it to a degree - shitting your pants though is a bit extreme - thats like Bruce Seldon going down to a punch that Tyson didnt even land

Lets say for arguments sake Enzo was geniunely confident of beating Haye and was confident in the ring and fought a confident fight - how do you think he would have done that night if he had fought with real confidence~?

 

He could have gone the full 12 if he had been confident although once tagged by Haye he would have **** his pants and been on his bike for most the fight.

A shame he is with **** FW as he will never have a chance to fight the like of cunningham, the italian frog, huck etc.

 

His chin? Lack of defence?

 

He may be able to rely on a reflex-defence against the slow plodders up at HW.

Although there is no denying the fact, good defence or not, that he will get tagged on the odd occasion against the big fellas. We'll see how he deals with it when the time comes. His chin isn't Khan-bad and not every punch that a HW lands on him is gonna put him down, and those accurate heavy punches that put him down may not keep him down.

There is no one up at Heavy that has the engine that Carl Thompson had in his fight with Haye, that ability to keep coming forward with a high work-rate and wear Haye down, and the other times Haye has been put down he has got back up to win.

Haye brings a kind of speed of foot and hand that none of the other Heavyweights can match.

Haye has come a long way since that Thompson fight; he is more mature and has better conditioning. For the time being I'm willing to give him a chance.
