Rahman to clear up the mess surrounding the unrealised fights. The Maskaev-Peter winner would be logical but personally i think he would be better getting rid of the rust first.
I think this man is able to make a credible comeback. As long as he is shepherded at the right pace, he should be fine.
BRYD. Byrd was lucky as a warden in a women's prison with a fist full of pardon's. A re-match is in order.
V. Klit is does not like to fight with injuries. He can't take them just like his brother can't take punches. He is gonna retire again before he take on a meaningful fight.
:good Rahman is the most obvious choice, in my opinion. But I don't think he is going to take a tuneup. SOunds to me like he's going to wait for the titlefight.
I would like him to take a tune up so I voted for Rahman. But this is a risky thing to do, and the smart move would be to wait for the winner of the Peter/Maskaev.
i vote for Roy Jones Jr. even tho he's not on the list.. reason bein for makin that ridicolous comment years ago "james toney would beat both klitschko's in the same night"... Vitali ko rd3
He should fight Byrd and prove that the first fight was just a fluke. He should fight Rahman just to silence his critics. Then he should fight Oleg-Peter.
Close. If I were Vitali's manager here how I would line em' up. 1 ) Fight Byrd. Byrd would take the fight becasue if he wins, he will fight for the WBC title. Vital will defeat Byrd, and erase a dubious loss. 2 ) Fight the winner of Maskev vs Peter for the WBC title. 3 ) Offer Lewis one more chance. If Lewis says no " thanks again ", a fight with Rhaman sounds like the perfect ending to Vitali's career.
Dont even...Vitali had heart, and he never feared that bum. Remember the pre-Lennox fights. Vitali was crying like a baby why they wont give him Lennox. Thats all you hear from him "Lennox. Lennox. Lewis. Lennox. Lennox. Lewis." After one of his fights, he turned to the camera, and said, "Hey Lennox, I know you seen this fight." Nobody dared to call out Lennox like that. Vitali wasn't scarred for ****. But his body is very prone to injury. After seeing what was going on in my country and politics, and the huge respect he was receiving from the Ukrainian people, including my family and all of our friends, Vitali realized he might do some good by entering politics and quiting this sport for which his body wasn't ready. Has nothing to do with Rahman.
From the sound of his recent interviews, he makes the point that many of the greater fighters had some of their most notable fights well after 30, (Foreman, Ali) pointing out that experience was a vital aspect. So I think Vitali has more than a short run planned. I think if he can stay uninjured, he'll fight on for a couple three more years.
