Vito Antuofermo(Hagler I) vs Roberto Duràn(Steel vs Stone)

I think Vito is made for someone like Duran, who loved a target.

 

Roberto picks off Vito whenever the latter gets close.

Duran by clear decision.

 

Duran would get a decision here.

 

If this is a 15 round fight Vito doesn't hear the cards, Vito's face will be a bloody mess by the 11th or 12th and when the doctor calls it off.
A guy that fights like Vito who cuts so easily will be tailor made for Roberto's in fighting skills and counters, plus Vito doesn't possess the power to bother Duran. It would be entertaining though.

 

I think that Vito certainly had the power to hurt Duran but not the boxing finesse to make it count. He ran Hagler close and Hagler is no joke. There's more to Antuofermo than is initially apparent. Very tough, game fighter with lots of workrate and tons of stamina.

 

Extremely strong, one of the fittest, peeled up fighters I’ve ever seen - the mosquito was a bull in the ring. I can see him getting stopped on cuts but simultaneously did Duran fight any busy guys who put on the pressure the way Vito did? I can’t think of any off the top of my brain box.
