Monzon would cut Vito to ribbons.

King Carlos Monzon would keep Vito Antuofermo at a safe distance with his long punishing left jab, pushing the shorter Antuofermo away, countering Vito, unlike his countryman, Hugo Corro, who was defeated by Vito in June 1979. Monzon fights smartly, not engaging in a ego causing brawl. A hard brutal right hand tears open the tissue like skin on the eyebrow of Antuofermo in round 11, the same right hand that had produced 61 kayos, it forces a stoppage by the referee. The crowd in Monte Carlo, Monaco cheers at the conclusion of this title bout.
