Battle of the Italians here. I think Nino takes this on points as he was the more skillful fighter. Thoughts?
Have a look at the second Minter v Antuofermo fight. Nino was better than Minter. He slices Vito up and stops him in 6 or 7.
Vito Antupfermo is not in the ring with Hugo Corro, to maul and brawl, he would totally be out boxed by Nino Benvenuti. Nino before his devastating knockout loss to Carlos Monzon in 1970, was a very good boxer, very slick. He would not let Vito get close to him like Marvelous Marvin Hagler did in 1979, first fight. Benvenuti would stab Antuofermo's face with jabs all night, scoring a unanimous decision victory, as Vito's face would look like he stepped into a swarm of bees.
In all fairness, Antuofermo was battered big time by Minter in the second fight. It’s often overlooked when people discuss his career for some reason. He’s not beating Benvenuti.
