Maybe Sonnen will get a shot at Anderson sooner than he imagined?

Belfort had no chance anyway and he knows it.

Silva should be fighting at 205 anyway.

i dunno remember when silva was all pissed he was fighting belfort at the conference because they trained together or some **** (silva dont fight his training partners, maybe hes scared they find something out bout him after training who knows) and belfort seemed like he was saddened by the fact silva was angry with his decision to sign to fight him. It was clear silva didnt want this fight either for the fact he felt threatened or disrespected by belforts suppose betrayal to fight a fellow brazillian and training partner.

Iam not one to jump to conclusions so early but maybe hes ducking silva on the low as a gesture of peace? I mean if belfort comes out in some crazy arm sling or something then ill believe it but till then ill have my conspiracies.

That is a shame. I was looking forward to seeing Vitor's speed on Silva.

My real fear for Couture is striking cos I think he's slowed down and his punch resistance is lower. Clinch, grappling, on the ground, even submissions don't worry me but he's always used his striking to set himself up to get his hands on you.

I feel uncomfortable watching him getting hit cos I feel like he is always about to go. The 205'ers hit lighter but faster and crisper.

I think Franklin is a good fight for Randy.

I agree Randy does seem one good shot away from saying nighty night these days. Ill set aside the fact that I have a man crush on both these days and just focus on the fight. Couture is a good striker but he likes to use angles and head movement well thats nothing to Franklin cause so does he. Vera had Couture ready to go with those body kicks and just watch Franklin fights he had Hendo in and out of the hospital with them and ended Matt Hamil's night. Ill give Randy the advantage though because Franklin is a medicore at best wrestler Henderson got him down everytime they clinched and Randy is a larger and probablly stronger verison of Henderson in a Greco style clinch. Henderson also was able to keep Franklin down while Randy will carry more weight then Hendo did and has better GNP and BJJ skills so if Randy wants to advance to mount to inflict more damage he might do so. Its a pretty damn good fight on paper. Franklin can probablly take more risks in this fight as he probablly doesnt need to worry about Randy's power which is average at best.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm bummed because the Vitor/Silva fight is off. That would have been a real barnburner.

I really don't want to see Randy fight Rich. I like both fighters and like you say who should I root for? When it comes down to it - I'll always side with Couture.

I guess ill side with Couture but it bums me out. If Randy wins its probablly another title shot :happy but that means another loss for Rich agianst a elite fighter and his legacy gets more questioned and people will try to push him out the door. If Rich wins he gets that big win over an elite fighter that he needs and his legacy is secure but Randy loses and maybe one more lose at 47 years old tells him hey its time to go and ill be sad as hell. If nothing else atleast it guarantees me them getting atleast one more big win. Alot of my favorites are winding down I dont know if Pulver will beat Vasquez in March or if Renzo will beat Hughes in April so agian atleast I know a win is coming for one of my boys :yep
