Le has a Glass Jaw, as evidenced by the way Smith handled him. I would say that it'll be about one or times before he's starched on the canvas and rethinking a fight career.
I like this matchup. Cung le with kicks, Vitor with his punches. Both top level strikers, I think it would be very competitive and entertaining.
Its possible, but I think Cung le's striking is better than that. I also think Vitor's striking is getting slightly exaggerated here. How will Vitor deal with the verity of kicks that Cung can throw? Dont get me wrong the odds favour Vitor mainly because of his experience, but Cung le has a good chance in my opinion. Especially a guy who probably wont try to take him down.
Should be fun while it lasts, but Belfort's boxing skills are far better than Le's. Belfort punches him into oblivion not long into round 1.
This will be Cung Le's coming out party to the UFC. Prepare to become believers and get ready for Anderson Silva in 2012.
It's a quality fight. Stand up war and if Le lands right, it is good night for Belfort also. Everyone believes Vitor is still the danger against Silva in the striking department. What better way to prove it then coming off of 2 good wins over guys who like to strike? By that stage Silva would have also fought the Sonnen-Stann winner and would need a new defence. FYI - it is clear that SF is being kept for second rate fighters. It is a good system. They can maintain the UFC as the elite of MMA. If they want to cut fighters then they can demote them to SF shows. It means we still get to see loads of good fighters who aren't quite good enough for the creme de la creme. I also hope it means the UFC get rid of some of their padding. The UFC always has fighters who you know aren't the best of the best. They shouldnt really be in the UFC. Hardy and Akiyama should be in SF until they step up their game.
