David Lemieux's KO was so brutal that he deserves a POTN bonus despite not fighting on this card and competing in a different sport altogether lol.

In all seriousness though... Well earned from Barboza and Gastelum. Though I think Lee deserves a bonus as well.

    Watched this card this morning.

    Shogun was very impressive.

I must admit that first straight left by Belfort had me excited because i envisioned Gastelum dropping. But once it became apparent that Gastelum's feet were quicker than Belfort's hands it was more of a matter of when than if.

Think it's time for the great warrior to hang them up.

Always fascinated me that despite his grounding in BJJ he was such a striking phenom.

Crazy that this is actually the longest streak Shogun has put together in the UFC. He's had some unlucky fights, battled lots of injuries. As a result he's suffered lots of losses that he shouldn't have. I would like to see him erase that embarrassing loss to OSP next, I think he has it in him based on this run... Which proves he's still a top 15 LHW.

Belfort just has no durability at this point, and his age showed as he looked slower than ever. Against Mousasi and Jacare he looked much quicker. I thought he did well to fight back after the first KD and landed some good shots. He was probably more hurt than he let on though, which is why Gastelum dropped him again. Should definitely retire, maybe have a farewell fight in Brazil against someone winnable.

    I never realised that lol.

If he can beat OSP and Gustafson he'll probably be in line for another title shot.

Although i think he'd struggle massively with Cormier at this stage.

Rua is another one like Belfort, great grappling skills on paper but prefers to mix it up.

Yep. Pretty crazy. I think he'd prob beat OSP but would lose to Gustafsson again.

Shoguns actually made use of his grappling a lot more than Belfort has though, he loves those trips. Amazing that he was able to take Sonnen, Henderson and other down with it so easily.

Yeah any BJJ fighter uses it more than Belfort tbf.

But I wouldn't say he's as committed to that style as Mir or Jacare for instance.
