I think a great bout to make would be Harris against rising star Victor Ortiz. Oh wait, it was made, but Harris blew it by being an idiot.
Harris was calling out Hatton, Cotto and Mayweather at 140but they wouldn't fight him....I think that they wanted to protect their 0
Your probably right, but WHO in THEIR Right MIND would fight V. Harris NOW ? Unfortunately for him he is going to be relegated to fighting B-fighters the rest of his career! There is no upside to fighting him. Any new up-and-comers, who are managed correctly, won't touch him with a 10 ft. pole. High Risk-Low Reward. He's too dangerous and not worth it.
140 is full of up and coming prospects..... However of all the fighters at 140, Vivian Harris is more of a NAME than most in the division... You gain more from fighting and beating Harris than knocking out Mike Arnaoutis.... Harris was suppose to fight Hatton... i forget what happened with that fight... He was suppose to make the most that he ever made in his career.... With that said, a focused Vivian Harris... dedicated Vivian Harris and one that sticks to the gameplan CAN regain a world title in his division.... Remember prior to being knocked out by Witter, even with the knockdown he still was fairly competitive... His height and reach and the fact that he has some pop still makes him a dangerous opponent.... but I would think after his last fight, prospects looking to jump into contention would jump on a fight with him.... He's a bad matchup for some... particularly the young guys.... Not many guys at 140 that are almost 6 feet tall... Vivian still beats most at 140.... I would like to see him fight Ricardo Torres...
:rofl :rofl:rofl:rofl since i don't believe there is one single fan in the world nuthugging on vivian harris to post a newspread like this, i infer you must be vivian harris himself announcing your return via boxing forums trying to make some "noise" goodluck on that Vivian
Ya know I doubt he's all that expensive or anything, I bet GBP could pick him up on the cheap and use him as pure filler for some of their PPV undercards. I mean they could use him to make Victor Ortiz look like a monster. Likewise on Katsidis or Juan Diaz.
I respect him for his two very tough fights against damn tough Urkal that he both won in Urkal's backyard in Germany.
Who cares? He is shot to ****. Witter won every round and iced the guy brutally. Slow, plodding and chinny. Great recipe for...... disaster.
He'd be the perfect fighter to feed to Paul McCloskey if McCloskey gets past M'Baye(who he has to fight in France).
The guy is so shot and chinny that was almost koed in the first round by a complete nobody in his last fight.
