Harris (28-2-1 18KO's) and Witter (35-1-2 20KO's) are scheduled to fight Sep. 7th for Witter's WBC light Welterweight title. Who wins?
Witter around the 9th. Witter is surprisingly very good and these days it'll take an elite fighter to beat him
witter by decision, the boy packs a dangerous punch but just doesn't throw enough leather, but he'll still be too much for harris.
Blind vote sort of. I think Harris has looked good since coming back from the Maussa KO. However, I haven't seen much of Witter. So, I'm going by what I've seen of Harris only.
He was better 4 years ago - he wasted those years on European-standard competition. His stamina is VERY questionable and I can see Harris coming on strong later in the fight. Harris is one of the most underrated fighters in boxing at the moment. Harris UD or MD.
The fans lose. This one's a certified snorer. Witter wins by UD, because he throws 8 punches a round a Harris throws only 6.
I like Junior here better boxing skills and he has some how become a hitter recently, Vivian let me down too many times I like JR in this fight by knock out.
I've got Witter down for easy UD. Probably gonna be a stinker aswel. I'd love to see him fight Malignaggi next.
Harris has just as much, if not more power than Witter and he throws straight punches...Harris beat up Urkal 2x in Germany, and stopped him the second time...Harris is a dark horse because of the Maussa fight where he overtrained, but he can box and punch...Witter looked good in the Ndou fight early, but Ndou came on late and gave him hell...i say Harris KO 7 with a right hand...
Honestly Harris isnt that bad. Certain fighters beat him 10 times out of 10 yes and those are guys that make him work. Witter just doesnt fight at the pace or put on the kind of pressure that will break Harris IMO. Witter could certainly KO him but Im going with Harris via UD. I think its not only a bad style matchup for Witter but the two are on pretty level pegging when it comes to ability.
A solid 50/50 type matchup, we should be seeing more of these. Definitely under the radar in the face of the amazing year boxing is having. Witter close UD here.
