I think this has a chance to be the most entertaining major heavyweight fight in a few years. Both have been in good fights, VK's wars with Lewis and Sanders stand out. I think Klitschko has the style to destroy Peter, but I think age and the layoff make him more vulnerable, I still slightly favor VK, but i'm expecting a good fight with both guys in trouble during it.
If Vitali isnt too rusty i see him winning this fight. Its more likely Vitali ko's Peter than the other way around. I dont know how to rate Peters chin at the moment. After the Klitschko fight i was quite sure its titanic. I heard Peter had serious problems with his ears going into the McCline fight. Well, Vitali will be a chinchecker for sure. If neither one gets ko'd, which is very possible seeing both guys chins, im picking Vitali by something like 116:112, 117:111. He will be the one scoring from the outside and therefore building up a comfortable lead on the cards.
Peters dont half look fat on the pic on the front page,im sure he aint, but he seems to just have look in the face that some big guys have
Peter will win-Vitaly has been out of the ring way to long, is a lot slower, older, 38?? and probaly CAN'T fight hard for more than 3 or 4 rounds, he also injury prone and can't take a hard shot anymore, 4 years is a ****ing very long time to decide you wanna come back and fight again especially at 38, Peter by KO..
This will be a very entertaining fight, too many to consider here and way too many questions to be answered regarding both fighters. I'm picking Peter to win this but not totally counting out Vitali despite the lay-off and injuries.
On tape Peter can take jab;s and rights, but can be hurt by hooks and uppercuts. Vitali will know this knows, and throws hard hooks and sneaky uppercuts. I think Vitlai wins easy, as long as he doesn't start slow in the first two rounds.
If Vitali comes into the fight fit and in good form, he wins this easy. Even if he is ring rusty, he still gets a points victory or a late TKO. His reflexes might not be as good, but then he had a great chin, so I expect to do alright. Peter wins only if Vitali has "grown old" so to speak. Which is possible. But knowing that both Klitschko brothers were always dedicated fitness freaks, I find this unlikely. Vitali was always more fliuid than his brother, and its not as if he was a speedster who might have gotten slower.
I can't think of many Vitali fights that were not exciting love him or hate him he was always in an exciting fight.
Vitali and his brother are never more than 5 feet from a gym.......LOL They are both really disciplined and into maintaining their conditioning, in the ring or out.........So I highly doubt that Vitali will come into this fight with lacking reflexes and out of shape. He'll prepare........that you can bet on. And Vitali is not 38. He turned 37 in July, so he's nor what you'd call old for a heavyweight. I think this fight will be Danny Willaims/Vitali, all over agian. Peter won't even be IN the fight.............he is so slow and lacking in his boxing skills, and Vitali is so much bigger and more athletic, that Vitali will potshot Peter at will........making him look like a clubfighter, before TKOing him by about round 8. Peter will take a real beating.......will be swollen and bloodied, but he ref will let it continue longer than it should, cause King will tell the ref to not call it off, til he absolutely HAS to. Given King being behind him pulling the strings, and his decent chin, I think Peter is on for a beating like we've not seen in the heavyweight division in quite some time.
The outcome of this fight is going to be interesting. I'm thinking if VK shows up he "should" win. If he loses, it's emeritus permanentus.
Vitaly's number one problem seems that his body is susceptible to injury. It all started with Byrd. Vitaly's age is perfect IMO. If Golota can bang at 40 so can VK at 37. There should be no excuses after the fight for either fighter.
Wow, sounds phantastic. Im really hyped now Im with you, IF Vitali enters the ring, he will be in tip top shape, no doubt about it.
This has all the markings of being a sloppy brawl but a very entertaining one. I really like this match-up. Not really sure who to pick, it all depends on Vitali. If he shows up reasonably close to his prior form than he wins. If injuries and inactivity have caught up with him than Peter wins. Should be good no matter who wins.
If not for Vitali's long lay-off and the uncertainty of its effect on his performance, I would say Vitali destroys Peter inside of 5 rounds. As things stand now I see the first couple of rounds going to Peter until Vitali can get his rhythm back, at which point he will start to wear Peter down and eventually batter him en route to a late TKO victory.
