    The thing is Haye showed a very good defense in this fight. He avoided and evaded Wlad's usually accurate and powerful jab like no heavyweight has done in years. He also showed a much better chin than most people thought he had. He also showed he was a very dangerous counter-puncher by landing hard and flush on Wlad's chin with his right in the final round. I guess Wlad has a better chin than most people thought, eh? No, Wlad fought the perfect fight. He backed David up, controlled the center of the ring and avoided his tremendously fast and powerful counterpunches. He just plain outboxed David Haye. Another one hits the dust.

    Wladimir is a very smart fighter that tends to be a little conservative with his power shots. That is something Manny Steward is working on with him. But Wlad still outboxes everybody put in front of him. :good

    Calling a unified heavyweight champ who fights anyone a coward is pretty ignorant.

    Okay smart guy, explain why Steward was always pleading for Vlad to get more aggressive & let his hands go! Manny wants kayos from his fighters who should be knocking people out!

    Like I said smart guy, Wladimir is a bit conservative with his power shots. He tends to think a little too much in the ring. That's something Emanuel is working on with him. That DOESN'T classify him as a coward.

    Chris Byrd would do that to ya as well and Wlad in fight one had no problem I think its the fact that Haye had more power than Wlad though so Wlad early on respected that attribute and fought the saftey first type of fight.

    However Wlad did get a gift from the ref when the ref illegally ruled a KD which should never be allowed

    Coward is much too harsh a word. Wlad is overly cautious, but it works for him. The Brewster and Sanders fight certainly affected him a great deal mentally. Steward simply employed the conservative style, be it safety first. I just wish that Steward, or somebody, would show Wlad how to fight at least a little bit on the inside.
