It's debatable whether or not he fights smart. Tentative doesn't necessarily = smart. It might mean your fighting scared . It's sometimes riskier in boxing not to let your hands go then the opposite, bc you just give your opponent more confidence. If Wlad became more accustomed to letting his hands go in combinations, he would get his opponents out a lot earlier, and thus secure a victory rather then taking a chance of getting caught with something later. Food for thought.

BTW the only decent fighter that Manny trains with some real balls to brawl with anyone in his division is called Miguel Cotto. the other are just there, just there...

Vlad is horrible. Everytime he gets hit with a decent punch either he holds or runs 3 feet back. If a fighter actually comes forward with combinations they would be able to get that cat out of there because he has a bad habit of going straight back. Vitali is much better.

 

This is a pathethic thread.

If you don't like his style, just don't watch him. And let others watch him while he dominates everyone.
