When Wlad fought Brewster first time , he was totally different boxer, his fighting style was very fan friendly . He use to throw right hands and hooks a lot and clinch wasn't his main weapon , matter fact he rarely cliched at all. But it's hard to argue with brittards and haters in general .

Steward taught Lennox Lewis and Vladimir Klitschko how to clinch. Watch Lewis vs. Tua fight, not to mention others. Watch Ali's fights, some very boring. When Ali was hurt by a punch by Henry Cooper, badly hurt, out on his feet, Angelo Dundee cut his glove to give him time to recoup! Brewster refused to give Vlad a rematch, it wasn't until he lost the title and left Don King that he fought a rematch. It was a total mismatch. Vlad threw more punches in Atlantic City, NJ fight with Mercer than he did against Brewster. Some drugs can cause high blood sugar level. Vlad has never had high blood sugar in his entire life. Don King?

Steward had been threatened, called a traitor when he decided to train Vlad. I wish I could find that interview. I have never seen so much hate for a fighter in my life! Vlad won the gold medal, superheavyweight division in Atlanta, GA back in 1996. He did not cheat..............I have that fight on tape as well............

Vlad was treated very badly by the American boxing media. All Vlad really wanted was to find out why he was so sick. It actually started very early in the fight. However, Vlad finally decided to just move on, and did he move on. He won the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO &Ring Titles by beating all the champions, except the WBC.................he and Vitali will never fight each other period.

The only complaint I have about Vlad/Povetkin fight was that Vlad could have knocked Povetkin out if he had wanted to. The hook off-the-jab in the second round was very clean knock down. However, something good did happen in the round that Vlad had Povetkin out on his feet, the three knockdowns, I think it was the 7th round. Vlad hurt Povetkin while fighting on the inside, something so many had always claimed he could not do. I was impressed with that. Although Vlad won every round, he could have made the fight much easier, but he really did not go for the knockout after that. I think if Vlad would have landed one good body punch Povetkin would have been finished. Some claim that Vlad was sucking wind, out of gas, tired, etc., but he was not tired at all. Povetkin was the one who was sucking wind. Povetkin did train hard for that fight though. He really tried.............Povetkin has not been complaining. He was very good sport.

If the referee had warned Vlad for clinching, I think it would have been bad for Povetkin. Povetkin would have been knocked out. An in shape Povetkin can fight well. This was not the Povetkin who fought Huck...........not at all.

Did you know that Wilder is ranked #3 by the WBC, #6 by WBA, #12 by IBF, WBO does not have him ranked, at least not in top 15? Can you imagine if the Klitschkos fought the same opponents as Wilder? Vlad did mention fighting Wilder in the future, could be next? I really don't know. But how can a boxer get ranked #3 without fighting anyone ranked? I really think that Wilder's promoters plan to simple give Wilder the WBC title when Vitali retires, if so, his mandatories will be someone like Sconiers?

Actually, Vlad fights extremely well against tall fighters, with the exception of Corrie Sanders who could have won the gold medal in the Olympics, but was not allowed to fight because he was from South Africa. Vlad was simply not in shape, did not spar, lifted weights, much less spar with a southpaw. Vlad did not make any excuses for that loss. He tried to get rematch, but Corrie would not fight him. When Sanders was in shape he was awesome. When Vlad lost to Purrity, he was only approx 236, had had diarrhea, did not train like he should have because he and Vitali were trying to promote the fight. His loss to Purrity was not because of a bad chin, it was because he did run out of gas. I think it was the 11th round. Vlad's corner threw in the towel because they were afraid he could have been hurt, very early in his career. In Vlad's next fight he stopped Axel Schultz in the 8th round, the first to stop him. George Foreman could not stop Schultz. While Foreman got a split decision, the decision was so bad that the IBF ordered a rematch. Foreman gave up his IBF title rather than fight a rematch. In the Brewster fight, well, I am convinced that there was an outside influence, no doubt in my mind...............

Backpedaling. You clearly said "some guy on youtube said..." then proceeded to say that Charr, a bum who lost, was paid off as well as the ref and doctor.

    Shhh

Since the great john Ruiz retired wladdy has taken over as the undisputed clinch master of the division no doubt fights like a ****ing girl! Unlike Ruiz who used to grab his opponents in a real macho way.

And Girl power aka max power a loss is a ****ing loss Brewster knocked him silly now stop wanking over your k2 poster and go to bed.

There is no proof of any foul play. I find it a shame to take that great win away from Brewster. He took a lot of punishment in that fight, but he never gave up, always was willing to try it and he landed some solid shots to the body that are likely overseen by Klitschko-fanatics. Besides that the refereeing is a great argument. Byrd did a great job of stopping Wlad from his illegal tactics. No wonder Wlad gassed as he had to keep his punching output high. Maybe Povetkin could´ve done the same as Brewster, if only there was a neutral referee.

The bias is you and your agenda, you´re trying to descredit Brewster, which is a shame, as he was a great fighter to watch and a nice person outside the ring. The man showed great heart and an unbelievable will, which was too much for Wlad. If Wlad would´ve been allowed his illegal tactics, he probably would´ve won though, as against Povetkin.

Im a big fan of Wlad, but lets face it: He gassed himself out vs. Brewster in the first fight, threw the kitchen sink at Brewster but couldn't knock him out. Then he was a sitting duck and was completely exhausted.

It's is NOT abnormal to exhibit extreme exhaustion after a fight. After Brewster won against Krasniqi in Germany he was so exhausted that he was carried off on a stretcher. He literally couldn't walk straight.

You just don't get it do you?
The style change was Wlad moving full time to Europe where he was able to have any sort of exchanges in close abolished by his own ref. If you are unable to fight a particular style you can't bend the rules to stop the other fighter working effectively.
No other ref outside of Bernd Bounter's control is going to allow him foul like that to avoid a fight and like every other fighter he will be forced to adapt or lose.
Where he is now , he doesn't have to adapt because the ref only allows for a style of fighting thats suits Wlad.
