Wlad's already on the ATG HW list imo, but unfortunately, due to his style of fighting, he's not going to end up as one of the more lauded ones. I want to see him fight Wilder, Pulev, Fury, Solis, Chisora, Jennings, and Helenius. If he can look good in beating those guys I'd say there's no one else worthy of fighting him and he can retire. Guys like Arreola, Stiverne, Boystov, Adamek and Glazkov stand zero chance. For some of these other guys you may be thinking stand no chance like Wilder, I feel like he'd still present more of a challenge than a lot of these smaller fighters despite their better skills.
This was a good win for his legacy. A very dominant victory over an opponent with pedigree: undefeated, olympic gold medallist, #3 in the world, young and prime. Probably one of the best heavyweights of the last 10 years (along with Vitali, Byrd, Haye, Chagaev, Pulev, etc). The way in which the win was accomplished can be criticized, but that's a matter of taste and styles. You cannot question that Wlad schooled Povetkin.
That was a shitty performance by wlad , but lol @ brittards , coz same toothless limeys said furys win against cunningham was a good win, also lol@ amir "glass jawed fraud" khan fans criticizing wlad .
Do you get paid to diss 'paqi's' and brits on ESB? if not stop wasting your time. you're just making yourself look like an idiotic *****.
Solis, Chisora, and Jennings stand absolutely no chance. Wilder is far from ready for prime time right now. He needs more time to fully develop.
Wlad is the first long term champ to suffer the scrutiny of forums like this. There have only been four long term champs in the modern era: Ali, Holmes, Lewis and Wlad. Most kids posting are not qualified to talk about Ali, Holmes or even Lewis. Lewis's reign was interrupted by a TKO2 and KO5 losses lets remember. Wlad has an unbroken run of 16 defences, has three belts plus the ring belt. Solid legacy. Study the other dudes and they all had much closer decisions, lost rounds, than Wlad.
You're a moron if you think Wlad shouldn't have been deducted points for some of those so called knock downs. Do you think you can punch a fighter then throw him down and count that as a legitimate knock down? Use a bit of common sense when you're worshipping these guys, it would add to your credibility. And yes, Wlad's an ATG top 10 fighter, and all I ask is that he should have showed us that yesterday.
How do you figure they're amongst the best ever in a h2h sense? Most of them have little in the ways of skillset, and even more refuse to fight one another regularly to accurately gauge how good they are h2h against each other.
i won't lower myself to give this post the violent pasting it deserves... no, i'll just hope that you're gassed pretty soon to save the world from your unborn children who may turn out to be as genuinely ****ing stupid as you are. good day to you.
Individually they are not all terrible. As a whole they suck. Size has replaced body punching, good combinations, defense and stamina. Most importantly is the best do not fight each other more times than not therefor making it next to impossible to gauge how good a fighter really is. Heavyweights today hardly ever feint, parry or slip punches, the hug. Hugging is the new heavyweight defenses, its sad. :-(
EXACTLY---- and you know damn well wlad pays those crooked refs big $$$ to NOT penalize him for the EXCESSIVE holding he does in EVERY fight. What a boring, disgraceful heavyweight boxer . Cant wait until he retires.
