Thompson does not seem to be much. Wlad easily.

If Thompson somehow upsets Wlad, Wlad's rep goes sewerville.

I believe a TKO for Wlad in the later rounds.

Klitschko has the physical skills of a great fighter but is weak mentally. Combined with Thompson's style, Wlad will have hard a time.

Wlad by close decision as he fights very cautiously and carefully over 12 mostly boring rounds.

All Thompson has beaten is perrenial punchbag Cliff Couser, a shot Luan Krasniqi, Timor Ibragimov who is nothing more than a trialhorse and for most of the fight was unwilling to mix it up with Thompson, Vaughn Bean a two time world title challenger who was past his best and frankly was not really a deserving title contender anyhow. Add to that the early career loss to one Eric Kirkland who has been knocked out by Trialhorse Robert Wiggins in 10 Rds and you have a mismatch.

Wlad has fought considerably better opposition and beaten far more formiddable punchers. Ok yes he lost inside the distance to Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster. The Purrity loss was basically due to inexperience and he was easily winning, the loss to Sanders was damaging for sure but Sanders was a far bigger puncher than Thompson and more aggressive too, as regards the loss to Brewster it seemed strange how he ran out of steam like that but hey the loss is there and theres not much more can be said. Thompson does not have the one punch KO power of Peter, Sanders or Brewster and the accumulative effect that was evident against Krasniqi will be nuliffied by Wlads jab which will be a constant ramrod into Thompsons face.

Everyone is talking about Thompson being bigger than anyone Klitchko has fought well Thompson has never fought anyone bigger than himself either so that argument goes both ways. Alot of big fighters seem to fare better against fighters their own size, take Lennox Lewis for instance look at his wins over Grant, Golota, Ruddock.

To be honest I think Klitschko is a better overall athlete and has a better jab and the right hand will be a big problem for Thompson. Thompson is also at times ponderous and just stands there doing nothing, if he does this in this fight this will suit Wlad and allow him to dictate the pace.

I personally see Wlad wearing Thompson down with the jab and occassional right hands which will get to him and Wlad will finish him in either RDs 6 or 7.

I thought that Klitschko will win easily again, but now I have a feeling that Thompson will give him more trouble than I first expected.
Thomson seems calm and confident, he really has nothing to lose in this fight. I believe he will come to fight, like he said.
I just realized how big he really is, I checked on boxrec, he's not much smaller than Wlad and has about the same reach.
He's basically undefeated, one loss early in his career really doesn't mean much. I know he hasn't a really big name on his record, but again that doesn't mean much. He fought some decent fighters like Krasniqui and Timur Ibragimov, also Guinn and Bean - I know they're not on Klitschkos level, but still...
Only time I really saw him fight was against Krasniqui, now Krasniqui is washed up and was inactive in that fight, but still Krasniqui is no walk over... Thompson looked good in that fight, fluid moves, good footwork, quite fast - he has some skills. I'll check on youtube if there are any more fights with him there.

In the end, I still favour Klitschko to win, he has a lot more experience and a punch that can end a fight at any point, but Thompson will be game. I can even imagine an upset here or Wlad only winning a close decision.

Its time that Wlad has another melt down. He is due for one. Puritty, Sanders, Brewster and now Thompson.

Wlad wins by 7th round KO, he will break him down with the jab through 6, and drop the bomb come the 7th. This fight will be somewhat enertaining, but nothing to write home about. I can actually see Thompson landing a big left early, and possibly rocking Wlad, but Wlad will clinch his way out of trouble and find way to get through it.

I wish Thompson the best, but I doubt he will pull out the victory, I just hope he comes to fight and not become just another lame target for Wlad.

Thompson's hands don't seem especially fast to me, and he doesn't look like a serious banger either. Those weaknesses will hurt him against a tiger like Klitschko. Vlad can be beaten, but his opponent needs to hit him first (which Thompson probably can't do) and to hurt him (which Thompson probably can't do). Thus, I see Vlad staying on top.

Thompson isn't a bulldog like Brewster or Purrity, either, so I doubt he can wear Vlad down physically.

This fight could end one of three ways:

    1) Vlad lowers the boom early against his slower-handed foe, scoring a quick kayo. This is much like Vlad did to Ray Austin
    2) Vlad wins in the middle rounds, enduring a little bit of frustration (like he did against Brock) before landing the kayo punch in the sixth to ninth rounds.
    3) Thompson hugs and runs and lasts 12 rounds, losing by one sided decision.
