Lyahkovich was being considered, talk of Taver or Arreola, but Wilder is a hero in America, could be hyped better than Haye in UK! He became a celebrity on USTV during the Olympics, sure Wilder would get knocked out, but look at the huge payday he would get. Wilder is tall, so many in America would make him the favorite because they are his fans.............would be interesting buildup on HBO, perhaps a 24/7. I can't think of a better fight right now, this is the time. Vitali sold out during a snowstorm at MSG Vs. Johnson......................this is the fight for now..............by the way, I know Wilder would have zero chance, but his fans would not know it, they are like Haye fans were...............remember the Olympics? Wilder has the exposure, is a boxing star in the backs of American fans' minds.................this would be huge................Sounds crazy, but who else is out there? Vitali has already beaten Arreola, Lyakhovich was knocked out, Helenius is not ready, not known in America, Tarver? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhas some name power TV exposure, but Wilder is tall......................ignorance is bliss to many.............this could work. A loss to Vlad by Wilder would not hurt his career at all..............anyway................Crazy as it is.................I think it would work........................

I don't know a think about Wilder but I'll take your word for it if you say he's big over there. There aren't any immediate options for Wlad so why not? It'll be interesting to see him fight a tall (taller?) guy and it's a while since he fought on the road

Wilder is a nobody. Much worse than Dimitrenko. Wilder needs a couple of decent fights, against ex champs and C level contenders such as Rahman and Barrett.

Right now Wilder isn't even a fringe contender himself.

Yes, but most American fans do not know that....................it's the hype that counts for this fight..............who else is there? Tarver?

Deontay is too green right now and this would only further Wlad's reputation as a guy who picks off unseasoned fighters before they're ready. Most Americans don't even know who Deontay Wilder is.

    Tardboxer is at it again.

Why not get a huge payday? Vitali sold out at MSG during a huge snowstorm! This fight would work if hyped by HBO! Remember how hyped Wilder was in America during the Olympics? Who else is there? Tarver? Tarver might happen, but...............

Seriously, if HBO wants to hype up Wilder they need to take him and put him in the ring with a couple of faded have-beens on undercards of big fights. At this point Wilder should fight on 3-4 undercards per year, with highlights being shown during the big HBO telecasts. They're not doing it. Instead, Wilder is boxing in crap venues in the middle of the sticks in Alabama and freaking Louisiana.

That speaks volumes about HBO's interest and belief in Wilder's abilities.

So..............who else is there? There really has been talk of Tarver and Arreola, perhaps Arreola might be good fight, but Wilder has the name from the Olympics, American fans will use wishful thinking like UK fans did for Haye. Wilder is known, but not very good, who would know though, everyone would watch that fight for sure.............

Farmy, this is stupid even for you.

Wilder is hardly a "hero," is basically nowhere in his career since he has beaten 18 unemployed construction workers, and was almost stopped by Harold Scoiners. You are the only person on the planet who wants to see this fight.

If they are worried about his chin, there are lots of credible guys to step up to. Zuri Lawrence? Al Cole is fighting again. The names are there. Its time to get him in with at least Zack Page.

True, but this is just a name fight. Most fans do not know much about his pro career, they will just remember him from the Olympics. Whatever, I guess it will be Tarver or Arreola.................

Wlad would be charged with 2nd degree manslaughter.
