Lesser-jawed gatekeepers would be sleeping on the job by now. But as day jobs go, he shouldn't quit the juicebar.

Riojas shuffling away, deep-leaning to his side, then planking up a southpaw jab with his upper body twisted like a wine-opener and then parlaying the jab into a resetting shove-off. Rinse and repeat, all while Shishkin walks him down and tees off.

 

Cornelius was never the brightest...

Shishkin's raw power evident in round eight...some body shots damn near A-framing the Mexican and lifting him off the canvas, while several uppercuts and bash-down rights seemed to bother him more & more visibly. Stoppage actually seeming possible in the last pair...

 

TKO9, erupted into a vicious mauling. Good timely jump in by a conscientiously attentive ref.

You knew pretty much from the knockdown that Riojas wasn't escaping that round...(or hell, that minute)

 

It was an interesting concept, very flawed (incomplete fight edits with cheesy music and slow-mo being the primary complaint) but I found the mixture of my favorite sport with the melodrama of reality TV a fascinating guilty pleasure. Most notably I became a cemented fan (and eventually a frequently corresponding online friend) of both Steve Forbes and Ishé Smith originally due to exposure to both of their stints on the show.

 

Err, whoops - in my haste to reply somehow completely skimmed over the second line that makes it clear you're obviously aware of the program's format and have seen it, and that you just meant the season I was referring to.

 

Kerefov reportedly pitched a ho-hum shutout against Metcalf, btw.
