Under-the-radar, compelling match-up on the Zolani Tete vs. Mikhail Surenovič Aloyan undercard. WBC Continental 168lb title at stake, first defense of Shishkin. Shishkin, a tall super middleweight straight-puncher who specializes in sniping off the backfoot, is on a nice little roll with victories over Russian trial horses Konstantin Piternov and Gasan Khaibulayevich Gasanov sandwiching his pièce de résistance - a surgical disassembly and stoppage of formerly top-shelf journeyman Siarhei Khomitsky this past May. One really ought to be able to say the same (or better) of crafty spoiler Mohammedi, gaining momentum since his last slump of losses by stringing together respectable victories over Roman Shkarupa, Hakim Zoulikha, and Hadillah Mohoumadi -until he was robbed against Fedor Chudinov on the Usyk vs. Gassiev undercard.
This is a way for Shishkin to prove he's legit or for Mohammedi to right the ship & get back into contention.
Mohammedi should take this one unless he gets robbed again in Russia. But for me far more interesting fight on this card is Fedosov vs Dawejko. Should be very fun and exciting fight.
Shishkin is more talanted than Fedosov. But his opponent is also much better, so easy win for Fedosov, and not so easy for Shishkin. It would be very tough fight. Vladimir Shishkin - Nadjib Mohammedi is a must watch!
