Obviously I think Vitali is overrated, but I rank Wlad higher than most. (top 10 ATG hw)

So are the losses to Brewster and Sanders against a prime and peak Wlad? Because I just don't see that way.

Wlad while in terms of his age was in his physical prime,. He has improved dramatically since those losses about 10 years ago. He is now a completely different fighter. In the context of the trajectory of Wlad's career I would deem them as early losses.

Hopkins was 28 when he lost to Jones Jr and that is universally deemed as an early loss in Hopkins career, which is the same age as Wlad's loss to Brewster. Both were in their physical primes but both would improve dramatically later on in their careers. Hence why I would regard them as early losses.

No, just no. Ive said it before and i'll say it again. Wladimir can surpass Holmes and Loius in terms of amount of defences, hell he can get to 30 defences if he wants. It doesnt distract from the level of opposition he's faced and the shocking state the division is in. Fighters like Brewster and Byrd etc are obviously good boxers but when fans are using their names to bolster a resume and stake a claim for Wlad being a top10 ATG you know something is very wrong. Incidently his best victories are over a limited, crude Nigerian slugger and a lightning quick if undersized former cruiserweight, hardly top10 material. Longtivity can only get you so far otherwise Joe Calzaghe would be a top10 AT. For Wladimir to make that rather large leap into top10 territory the level of opponents in his resume over the next 3-4 years would need to make a fairly sizeable increase in quality. Unfortunately for Wlad that quality that he seeks just doesnt exist, at least not yet. Fighting guys like Mormeck and Thompson isnt going to get anyone into the top10 and Wladimir is no exception.

Not say he would beat Wlad H2H, but I think Dempsey ranks higher on the all time list at HW.

OK - but many disagree with you, and you have not posted your list after asking for mine. I am interested to see how you shoehorn wlad into a top 10, and if you would add Vitali in there too. cause not only do I think Wlad is not a top 10 ATG HW, I think he is not even the best HW in his family.
