virchis has the WBC elimnator coming shortly with gomez so this could be a possibility some point down the line although i expect gomez to pull through, but enough of that....

who wins this battle of the powerhouses? :think

Peter's power is real but overrated, whereas by all accounts, Virchis seems to have some genuinely shocking power.

Though it is also fair to note that Virchis is probably one of the only guys in the divison who is even more stiff and basic.

I say Peter outboxes him for a 12 round decision, as limited as Peter is he is far more skilled than the robotic Virchis. However he would have to be cautious because if he decides to trade he could get KTFO.

Virchis and his power is waaaay overrated.
Michael sprott near knocked him out and only 3 corrupt judges saved virchis in that fight....

Peter will take him out in 8 or 9 rounds.

Hard to pick a winner. I think Virchis may be able to KO Peter, though.

Hard to pick a winner here. After seeing the McCline fight, Virchis has a decent chance of scoring a knockout, but may just as well be outboxed (yes, outboxed by Peter) to a decision loss.

McCline is much faster than Virchis. And he throws short hard punches inside that Virchis doesn't have.

Besides I think if Virchis miraculously got by JCGomez he'd be some years late on beating Sam Peter. Sammy is just too developed now to lose to a guy like that. Nevermind the fact that he has titanium in his jaw.

    Virchis is overrated.
    His power is not overrated.
Michael Sprott wouldn't knock him out in 1543 rounds. He should've gotten the decision though.

Peter will win a lopsided decision.

virchis was really hurt against sprott in round six (?), think of what peter's rabbit punches would do to him.

Peter has more head movement than Virchis and Virchis is slower than McCline. I pick peter by 8th RD KO or UD. However I do not think Virchis will make it to Peter as he will be thoroughly outboxed by Gomez.

Peter by mid round KO, Virchis is very stationary and would try and trade bombs with Peter, which is a huge mistake for any fighter to make against the extremely heavy hands of Sam Peter.
