If Wlad beat him fear and square then be it, but don't clinch a guy 1 rillion times.

You can't just clinch a guy on the inside, otherwise the small man cannot fight back nor win. It makes a boring fight and that is why clinching is a rules violation.

A bad and ineffectual performance by the referee does not vindicate Wlad's excessive clinching. Allowing one fighter to initiate over 100 clinches in one fight without a single warning is indicative of a either a referee who doesn't know or cant enforce the rules or else one that's been paid off.
