WTF is going on with the Ukrainian-South African brute's career? He was supposed to have competed for the WBC Intercontinental Silver heavyweight title a year ago (2/23/18) but instead for some reason he wound up just crushing another can in a 4-rounder.

Per the latest update he isn't even ranked top 40 by the WBC:

...nor, is he, to my knowledge, by any major org. (he does hold the International HW title of the oh-so-prestigious WBF...)

Why is he so mismanaged? He's coming up on two full years since his pro debut, and without much to show for it, considering his talent.

In one of Youtube interviews James Ali Bashir was quite frustrated with him. According to Bashir, Vlad doesn't want to step up and fight tougher opponents.
But, anyway, Vlad is expected to fight in (late) April in Germany.

@minemax random question, do you happen to know his patronymic/middle name? I remember you saying all EE fighters have one but I've been trawling Google translates of every mention of him in Russian and Ukrainian wikis and media, can't find one listed for him anywhere. :nusenuse:

He did fight Nascimento in his last fight so I guess he's trying to fight some guys who are at least journeyman level. Hard to judge how good he really is though when he's been fighting extremely poor opposition.

Toss-up as to whether Didier or Nascimento is his best scalp to date. Either way, I'd expected a higher class opposition for him by now.

This is always one of the most frustrating aspects when stuff like these delays happen with interesting prospects.

I got excited after seeing this guy awhile back and as soon as I did he stopped fighting, lol

Not that I think he would take a title but it would be great fun watching him try.

Recently he has signed with the German manager who is a sldo a manager of Oleksandr Zakhozhyi. Both of them will be fighting on the same card in Germany in April. I don't think either of them will have a decent step up in their next fights.

Did you see my post in the other thread? I rate him as potentially better than Dubois or Yoka, but well behind Joyce and especially Hrgović.

Sirenko is a very good prospect but I think Teslenko has more talent.

Even Jamal Woods looks like a half decent win compared to some of the trash he's been facing. Step on up cult hero Kevin Johnson?
