240kg(528 pounds) deadlifts for reps like it is nothing. pretty amazing the guy is only 22 years old, and already a beast. What do you think?

This would be a great thread for a bodybuilding or weightlifting forum. Seeing as this kind of thing has squat (see what I did there?) to with boxing, not sure why you made it a thread here...

Maybe they're trying to do something with his energy chain? Some bull**** about explosivity or something? That said, I agree with you, basically, at the very least it's risky.

Then again maybe it was just something he was doing for a bit of fun, seeing what he had. No way to know.

I would say physical strength is important to boxers. The video tells us something about a prospect we know very little about so far. I thought some would find it interesting.

You're on a boxing site showing different training that boxers are doing ,and are being questioned about it ? :bump

There was a video over 5 years ago of Tyson Fury pulling around 550 for a single with a rounded back and straps and it got tons of reply's. Deadlift is a great indicator of all around strength and has a myriad of applications for athletic performance and conditioning.

Very strong, and great for overall body growth and strength, also great for balance in the ring bc it makes your base stronger which could effect punching power sitting down on shots. At his age its not that risky going heavy like that at all,if anything it will prevent injuries bc it makes the lower back stronger which also is huge for punching power if you know what it entails.

    Galv always dropping the knowledge.

My friend is 95kg and can do 220kg for one rep and I think that is pretty impressive.

Sirenko is beasting 240kg like it is nothing, at only 22.

Looking forward to seeing Sirenko in some good tests, but looks like they are taking it slow, because of his age.

This however is BAD training with BAD form..to his credit Tyson Fury did lift it to full extention. This is an example how not to train bc it could cause injury........

Impressive when you consider he's only 22. His form isn't perfect his hips are too low hence why they rise at the start of the lift but far better than Fury's attempt at a deadlift.
