TS, glad to see you spell Vova's name properly Emmanual Steward (by my ears) says Vova's name "Wladimir" pronouncing the W as a W cuz of the German spelling. Am i the only one who hears this? Call me weird but it bothers me thinking that he can't even say his name correct or that Volodymyr has never corrected him.
So what would be the correct spelling if it isn't W/V (which sounds the same) ? Sounding like "Bowodimir" ?
I don't understand your question? Sounding like "bowodimir" ? Volodymyr is his name, which is Ukrainian Vladimir is the Russian version Wladimir is the German spelling of the Russian version So him being known as Wladimir, is the German spelling of the Russian version of his Ukrainian name. Volodymyr Klychko is a better English spelling than the german Klitschko. There is no T sound in it and the SCH is a German thing, common to their surnames e.g. Kretschmann W in German makes a V sound. Same with Polish e.g Michalczewski
Wlad would knock him out the moment he stops playing patty cake with his left hand and decides to unleash that right.
I miss roasting this crazy ol' bastid. Farmy was, according to ESB, last seen: Feb 23, 2020 That's early pando. We reckon that's what did for him?
Also, the idea of a heavyweight champ being matched with a tough light heavy is certainly not a new one - dating all the way back at least to Louis vs. Conn, if not earlier... RJJ vs. Ruiz was only a scant half dozen years in the rearview when this poll thread was made. Still, though. How does even the biggest Goral fan or Dr. Ironfist doubter come up with this as reasonable matchmaking? It would have been sanctioned murder.
He mentioned battling cancer during the last few years he was on here. a true ESB OG. Rip if he has indeed passed on.
