haha wow I hope he doesn't lose but thanks to this guy I wouldn't be as disappointed now as I would have been 5 minutes ago.
Hopefully the GOAT can be like himself for this tourney, Id love to see him leave a path of desruction behind him en route to winning it.
I hope Fedor wins this tournament; and has to go through Silva, Overeem, and Barnett to do it. Then **** going for the StrikeForce title, if he's already beaten Overeem, it's pointless. I'd like to see him fight Werdum, and win the rematch. Then I'd like to see him call it quits. If he went out like that, it would be years before anyone could challenge his legacy. I don't know if he's got enough left to make through the tournament, but I definitely think he'll have dropped too much to make it in the UFC by the time the tournament it settled. I shouldn't say make it in the UFC. There's plenty of fighters he'll be able to defeat there. I specifically mean Cain Velasquez. I think Velasquez could possibly take Fedor now. Cain will probably be a big favorite to defeat Fedor 2 years from now, which is probably how long it will take for that fight to come off.
Good post other than fighting Cain in the UFC. Fedors not going to fight in the UFC, in a couple of years he'll be to old, and just retire I'm sure. As for the people who think Cain (currently) could beat Fedor...Based on what exactly? His win over Brock Lesnar???? His undefeated record???? Seriously, the guy has great skill, and could be a great some day, but nothing tells me Cain has an advantage over Fedor....Unless Fedor comes down the ring in a wheelchair I wouldn't bet Cain beats him.
Honestly, I believe Cain is Fedor's successor. Cain may never put together Fedor's win streak, but I think he is going to be this era's dominant heavyweight. Velasquez has as much fight in him as anyone I've ever seen, and his endurance matches his incredible will.
A small extract of Roman Zentsov's recent interview - responds to Fedor comments, career, Pride, politics etc These Russian training camps are brutal, its not just Fedor who go all out as well. There was a Sambo video on "Human Weapon" where they showed some brutal ass training method where everyone tries to submitt each other....basically trying to heighten their pain thresh hold.
Over the years when I hear this about fighter, it makes me thing. Most of the times they come in the ring a shell of themself. This is more to pump up the fighter. Just on pure skill alone Fedor should be Big Foot, but has time and lack of fights over they year cought up to Fedor?
wouldn't want to see him lose due to age or ring age. wouldn't want to see lose is durability like nog. he hasn't take the same punishment but his next few fights could be taxing on him.
