Adamek is nowhere near as fast as some make him out to be. Arreola has faster hands than Adamek, believe it or not. Not sure about the power, they both can bang.

I see Arreola KOing Adamek. Reasons are because Adamek still gets hit flush too often AND because... Adamek never tasted true heavyweight power. He'll get a bit of a shock. Arreola isn't much when you have the tools to outbox him, but I don't think Adamek has the tools.

Adamek never felt real power from a heavyweight, Arreola can bang. He bombed out a good chinned 6'6 265-270 McCline last year without much of a problem. Adamek is a good fighter, but stepping up from a washed up Golota to a young bull in Arreola is a step to high imo.

If he does infact win, it will be by decision. Walker could punch, just ask Vitali. Who was knocked down badly by him in sparring and was part of the reason Vitali pulled out of the Rahman fight in 05.

For some reason i see this fight like Cotto/Margarito

    Ademek winning the early rounds

And Arreola taking him out late

    Arreola by KO

I voted for Adamek by decison, but that is a reluctant pick. Arreola promised to come into the fight at around 235#, but listening to Chris talk about weight problems is a bit like listening to Jermain Taylor talk about stamina issues.

If Chris does in fact come in around 235, I think that would go a long way toward diminishing Adamek's speed and mobility advantages.

If Arreola comes in his usual fat-ass self, Tomasz will survive some scary moments, but ultimately win a hard fought decision.

In my opinion this is Arreolo's fight to win or lose.

I just point to Arreola's biggest wins at HW (McCline and Walker) as well as his poor showing with Vitali and wonder how in the world he's going to pull this off. He will be outclassed and his only hope is a KO against a guy who's got a great chin.

Whoever thinks Arreola will come in weighing 245 or anywhere near that is dreaming. At the press conference he promised the big media outlets to be in the 240s, only to say he was playing it up to the media, to a small time internet reporter. He said that he will not make the 240s I expect him to be at least 255lbs and prob more.

Shields already said Adamek will not slug with Arreola in the first 8 rounds. He wants Adamek closer to 210lbs, to use his mobility and better combination punching. Says if things go well, he will give Adamek free reign to try to take Chris out from the 8 round onwards.

I don't think that Adamek can handle Arreola's power. Arreola by mid round stoppage.

Arreola's hands are fast for a big guy, but he totally screws his speed up by punching wide. Adamek's hands are not lighting but he punches dead center and do keep in mind that he was hanging punch for punch with Cunningham and was beating Estrada to the punch as well. Arreola's overall handspeed is slower than Adamek's and decreases significantly as the fight moves on, due to his poor conditioning.
When a guy's only chance to win is to knock someone out, especially someone with a great chin, 9/10 that guy loses.

Adamek is on another skill level. And probably has as much power as Arreola, as well.

    Adamek by decision..........maybe even TKO.

But Arreola doesn't have the handspeed of Estrada either.

    See bold below.

I think people are greatly overstating this. adamek got tired for 2 rounds at about the 8th and 9th then came back strong after that. With Adamek's history i don't know why anyone would think he'd let that happen again. He'll either come in a bit lighter or if he is at 220 he'll have improved his conditioning. I really don't think that wil be a factor at all.

    lol No, no he doesn't

lol the Mccline fight was more of a farce than the Adamek-Golota fight.

I remember hearing people tell that Walker story, never remember any legit proof or sources though. Proof or stfu

The way Arreola cocks his elbows out to the side when he punches is ****ing weird. For a guy who is supposed to have such a good Amteur backround that's a huge technical flaw to still have in his technique.

And they say he's fundamentally sound. :nut

Arreola is a one dimensional fighter with a strong mentallity, there's nothing else exceptional that i see in his game. Adamek has all these (power, heart) and more.
