I´m really wondering why no one else likes that fight. Are the Bute fans scared? :hey

Jesus Christ, Stiglitz really doesn't want to fight Bute. :rofl

He needs to find his ball sack!

I for one dont pay much attention on corrupt alphabet paperbelts and besides that beating Stieglitz means nothing since he is clearly not even close to Butes Level and got KTFO´d before. Wise decision from team Stieglitz to prevent the boxing world from a mismatch like that even if Bute likes to pick that cherry and is willing to pay well..

as a boxing fan that would be awesome! :happy:bbb
as a bute fan not so much. it would be great cuz we could get a clearer picture if he's the real deal or not but imo it's too risky NOW. it all depends at what category.if bute goes up, dawson drops or both do at a catch weight.

still, i'd rather they fight even if bute loses then not at all.:thumbsup

The IBF Super Middleweight Elimination bout between #2 contender Jesse Brinkley (35-5, 22 KOs) and #4 rated Sakio Bika (28-3-2, 19 KOs) will not take place on May 28th in Quebec. InterBox received a letter from the IBF early Tuesday morning stating that Brinkley was not able to train for the last few weeks due to what seems to be a bad flu, and has only been cleared recently by his doctor to commence training.

The announcement fuels speculation that one or the other, Brinkley or Bika, will become the opponent for Lucian Bute when the IBF super-middleweight champion returns home to Romania to fight later this summer in July. Bute who is without an opponent for his homecoming is expected by many to fight both fighters instead of waiting for the elimination fight to be rescheduled. Bute has already posted a win over Sakio Bika in an IBF title elimination fight in 2007, and while the Australian based boxer has rattled off six straight wins since that time, isn’t thought of to be a big draw if the two squared off again in Quebec. Interbox had hoped the Romanian fight for Bute would appeal to HBO and Bika is on most people’s top-ten list at 168 pounds.

From what I heard Bika might still fight on the undercard of Lucas-Andrade.

So either Brinkley really is sick or he'll get his shot at Bute in Romania.

So is the situation of a fighter which is too good to fight anyone.

The situation is just very good at long term for him.

As the tourney goes to the final the exit-ers wiil wait at Bute & HBO`s door for a fight receiving their terms.

Instead, for him is almost a given he`ll meet the winner.

While he still beats everyone, who cares he`s not in the tourney.

I think they didn`t think at this situation.

Competion between SHO and HBO advantages the most the Romanian.

If you look at it this way, the only fight for him that isn't a waste of time is the unification with Stieglitz. Which I'd agree with, at least while the tourney is still going.

What about fighting Glen Johnson at 175? They were sparring partners not long ago when Bute was training for Andrade and Johnson for Dawson. Johnson is 41 and looking for the best paydays he can get, and he's never been afraid to travel.

People, just don`t illusion yourselves .

BUTE WILL NOT CLIMB TO 175 ! IS STATED BY HIS TEAM AND HIMSELF.

Professional boxing is not of satsifieing some fans only but mostly of winning money.

When you`re close of meeting the tourney winner and having a chance of be the undisputed in such a division (the second and on its way of becoming very soon the most interesting) you don`t risk anything.

So stop with "Bute shoud fight at 175". Will not happen.

He turned down a fight with Bute a few months ago to fight Mack for like $20,000. What makes you think he's fight Bute now that he has a guaranteed shot at a world title (Cloud)?

Bute's not close to fighting the winner of the Super Six. That's at least a year and a half away if not more (2012). Are you suggesting he should just sit around and fight bums until the Super Six is finally over?

Picked Dirrell because when I watch Butes first defeat I want it to be a thorough beating.
